I would believe it would be more of rotating days off in general with Cargo sitting vs LHP. Maybe Bryant in LF also to get AB for Bote also.

But it really depends on production. If all 3 are raking you really can't take them out of the line up outside of regular rest. They can line that day off on a lefty day. But I wouldn't expect off days just because a lefty is on the mound. If that hitter has struggled vs that pitcher then yes you play the odds.

well Cargo hits like .250 against lefties where Heyward is at .235 and lately, Joe is leaving some lefty in against the lefty starter other than Rizzo.

Right now Albert needs to be playing not sitting around thinking about hurting a little girl.

I tend to look at wRC+ over BA.

Right now Cargo is playing impact baseball. Joe is choosing to run with it.

Time will tell but he is running with the opertunity
I honestly see this akin to Hamels. The Cubs have a good vibe that resonates with vets.

It would sure be a remarkable story should he play his way back into prominence.

I am perfectly OK with kicking the tires and seeing what he can do. I think, after two games, saying he is "playing impact baseball right now" may be an overstatement. But it's a low/no risk move. I like it.

Cubs have reached agreement with Kimbrel, per Sahadev Sharma on Twitter.

Per Ken Rosenthal.

Getting a little irritated with Contreras dropping pitches that should be strikes. And because it goes by and is not caught, the ump doesn't call it a strike. Happened in this inning again.

And instead of going for the throat, with a lefty on the mound, descalso pinch hits not Almora or Russell.

Watching the game it seems like it would be sad to be a member of the Colorado Rockies. Living in baseball obscurity, no one knows you, you are never on national TV and don't have any national endorsement opportunities. Then you come to chicago and the groupies don't even show up at your hotel to get a blow job except some 70 year old women with dentures. At the end of your career you can say you played 10 years with the Rockies to which they answer: "Who?"

Nice recovery by Cisek after a rough start to the inning. Good win. Brewers lost.
