We traded a guy who at the time couldn't stay healthy to save his life and had not lived up to expectations when healthy for a solid closer in a year we were gunning for it. Looking at Soler now do I think he's putting up the numbers he is in the NL? No.

I think we all accept that, it would just be nice to get some other player thrown in that might still be in the system. Davis would still be a good closer for this club and out of Colorado half his pitches, but they chose not to pay 52 for 3 years. After Theo made the stones of wade davis comments, I thought he was a lock. Then at least we could be saying the trade was even or at least we still have something, not nothing.
