Kerry Wood's Magical 20 Strikeout Game

I saw this game when I was younger and it might be one of the all time great Cubs moments.


Did anyone else catch this game live?

Also, the fan who brought the K posters has got to be the ultimate Chicago #calledit......That guy was hellbent on Wood having a great game and even mailed Kerry a letter before the game saying he would bring the K posters.

Should have been a no-hitter. The Gutierrez "hit" went off Kevin Orie's glove and it should have been scored an error. It bothers me this isn't mentioned more when discussing this game.

I saw it live on TV but wasn't there. I remember feeling super hopeful and a while later thinking Wood and Prior would be dominant for years to come. I had a lot to learn.

Kevin Orie fell off the cliff faster than Ian Happ. Possibly the most hyped 3B in Cubs history other than Gary Scott.
