Here's the deal...I ended up with 2 tickets instead of 1.

I have 1 prospect in my area that may go.

Would anyone here be interested in going?

If my friend can't go I was thinking something of an essay contest on music.

The ticket would be on me, I only ask for a tour tshirt, and perhaps a beer at the map room since that is where I will likely be that afternoon. Good meeting place.

I have an old friend that has been to half a dozen DT shows with me and countless others.

The thing is, he is even more, way more reclusive and antisocial than I am.

I sent him text offering ticket and heard back from him for 1st time in at least FIVE YEARS.

I'll likely know if it is his ticket by Thursday.



I'm keeping this contest open on a contingency basis for now, it has gotten better.

I'm not paying venue prices for shitty beer, dog or no dog.

I like to get a good buzz at the map room and sober up a bit on my way to the show from there.

It is a plan that has been working well for me.

Well, my plans got sidetracked.

No Amtrak due to work on rails.

I'm just riding with friend, no staying for fun weekend in city.

May or may not arrive early enough to visit Map Room.

Oh well, I'm still pretty excited about the show and seeing an old friend again.

I can still load up on fine beer at Binny's.
