Washington had a good run but all good things must come to an end. Cards make it back to the series.

Nat's. Cards are playing over their head. Nat's are a stronger team. Just beat the it NL team with a shot at beating a AL team in the series.

Nat's have 3 ace quality pitchers. But their pen could be exploited. The only upset method I see is dragging out PA to get to the pen. This is countered by attacking the plate.

And STL has only 1 ace quality and he lined up on the right day. So in a 7 game format he might get game 3 and 7. Vs 1/4/7. Which means that STL is undermatched game 1, 2. 3 is a push as all 3 aces match up vs him. Hudson won 16 but 136 SO in 174 inn is a factor in games like this. He is not mowing them down.

So I just do not believe STL has the rotation to get past the Nat's. They got past ATL because ATL doesn't have a dominating rotation either.
