I saw a blurb a few weeks ago that Taylor Gabriel and Mike Davis were working out with Mitchell Trubisky in LA, along with Allen Robinson and Javon Wims. I think this is excellent for all involved. I would have liked to see newly signed receiver Marvin Hall and Cordarrelle Patterson on that list as well. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard otherwise (doubtful I realize).

I guess OTAs start next month anyway, but it's always good to see QBs and receivers getting in offseason work (not that it benefited Kevin White last year).

I have not seen anything about those guys.

My guess is that the guys with kids have a very hard time heading to LA to train.

Listening to the Hoge and Jahns podcast they mentioned a couple of times how the team was always split on Jay, but they all agreed, Mark Potash as well, that 100% of the team is bought in on Mitch and he is beloved. I know Jay did this a couple of times, but my guess is Mitch will continue to attract guys to him in the offseason.

Tangent I know, I really think Robinson is going to tear the league up this year and be among the league leaders at the position.

Hard to plan a trip to LA in advance when you're a FA, especially on your own dime. Kinda surprised Mike Davis flew over.

Nah, I'm betting the knee injury has put an end to his best years.

I heard Patterson on All Access say he was trying to hook up with Mitch and head out to the West coast

I guarantee he won't have a season like he did in '15 ever again. But that's only because he doesn't have to.

I know, I know...Nagy spreads the ball around so much everyone looks like they suck, but they don't.

He is young enough, he will be fine. By the end of year he knee was just about as good as ever. Takes a year or so to play, takes two years to be 100% like your old self

They have both just inked deals that make them millionaires (all over again). You would think that they could afford to splurge for an LA vacation for their families while they train during the day and then go out at night with their families.

I hope they build some chemistry with Trubisky before the season.

Kids are probably in school now. Can't have 50+ guys all training together now anyway. Great for some, but nothing to worry or knock a guy on for not moving away for. Would be cool to take just a week & bond with the team for the new guys tho. Before camps start up.

Do other teams do & talk about similar in offseason?

While it might be possible that they are in school, chances are that Patterson and Hall are not going to college after at least 2 years after joining the NFL.

We are not looking for 50+ guys all training together. It does make sense for Trubisky and most of the WRs and some of the RBs to practice together. What are we talking about? Around 10 people.
