I would actually be fine with Mullens as a backup.

Mullens does seem accurate, poised and decisive in his Highlight reel...

Quiet feet when delivering the ball.....Mitch is not and i think that is his biggest problem.

Dude wanted $20M to play in the AAF, 240X what every other player was making. Sorta betrays his political beliefs. It's funny how the only socialists that like socialism are the ones not subject to socialism.

Um, standing up for social justice is not socialist or socialism. Amazing how conservative nimrods think, or don't, for that matter.

I just don't trust Pace to handle the QB situation at all. He has continued to screw up and compound the issue(s) at QB.
  • Paying $6M to a terrible back up QB that is only there because he "knows the system". You cannot waste a spot on the team for someone who's only attribute is they "know the system". As a GM you should be drafting a QB every other year, even if it is in the 6/7 rounds. The fact is Chase, while a good guy, has no business on the team. Also, now that the first round has slotted $$, which is substantially less than what it used to be (remember Jamarcus Russell) a team should always have competition at the QB position. You don' t have to give the guy a job just because he is paid so much. Mitch is on a Rookie deal, fucking use it to your advantage.
  • Giving up essentially 4 picks in 2017 to move from 3 to 2 to draft Mitch. The next QB, Mahomes, wasn't even taken until the 10th pick. NO ONE was moving up to 2 to take any of the QB's. Botching a draft that bad should have gotten someone fired on the spot.
  • Passing up on QB's in later rounds, where we had picks, that ran similar type systems in College that put up fantastic numbers (Will Grier, Luke Falk, Gardner Minshew). Not to mention how much $$ would be saved instead of $6M for Chase.

Lets consider who Pace "loved"

Mariota
Glennon
Trubisky

You tell me...should Pace be trusted with QB evaluations?

Pace loved Glennon? I'm gonna have to go with a big no on that one and say he was only brought in to play that one year because they knew Trubs wasn't gonna be ready with not much starting time in college. He also tried trading up to get C.Wentz. It's funny that people actually think GM's are somehow supposed to know what QB's will be at the next level or really what any player will be at the next level. You think Brady would of been there in the 6th round if the great Belacheat knew what he was gonna be? You think Dak would of lasted until the 4th round if Jerry or any of the other 31 GM's knew what he was gonna be? I can go on and on and on.

Now the armchair GM's can come and dance around my post with the usual bullshit about how Pace should of known what Trubisky was gonna be and can bring up the exhausted convo about how he passed on Dak and Watson and Mahomes since you have no real argument to put up against this.

Not a conservative. Also not an uniformed libtard.

But it didn’t help that Kaepernick made pro-Fidel Castro comments during a teleconference call Wednesday defending his choice three months earlier to wear a T-shirt depicting a meeting between Castro and Malcolm X with the words underneath, “Like minds think alike.”

No we shouldnt, but he has looked pretty good in games I seen him play...hecwould at least be an upgrade over Daniel's and push Mitch

Not saying he will be a stud, but u can see him get through progressions quickly and is decisive. Please mute video, the music is the worst shit ever....it later goes into game only and u can turn it up lol

I like what Mullens and Beathard did for San Fran last year but also think Kyle Shannahan is a great play caller, OC and now HC and can make many QB's look good so i'd be real careful about trading anything for Mullens. I think Shanny would have Trubisky looking like a legit starting QB if he was their starting QB in San Fran.

No real argument? Ryan Pace had a Top 3 pick, then proceeded to trade up one spot above himself to draft, what looks like, the fourth most talented quarterback in the draft.

Your argument was, "No one ever knows!"

You seriously do not see the disparity in those two arguments?

Seriously???

Interesting.

So who is it that Ryan Pace massively failed on?

Mitchell Trubisky or Matt Nagy?

Is your argument that there's any way at all for a GM to 100% know what any player will be when he goes from college to the NFL? Please tell me you actually think that there's anyway at all for not only any GM but for anyone to know that just so it will make it 100% clear to me just how smart you really are. I'll wait.........................

I don't know if Nagy or Trubs is a failure yet. It's too early to tell. And you?

I'm being told Pace has been doing some "in NFL" QB Scouting. Mullens from SF is a QB he may attempt to make a trade in offseason
There has been requested film tapes of Mullens games QB'in for SF

Pace isn't waiting and is doing his diligence

What would be his trade value? 4th round? 3rd round ??

Mullens would come here and theyd ask him "not to lise games" and "lean on your defense"
.

We're ginna see the same playcalling regardless.

Of course not. There are no absolute certainties in life...so that would be a dumb argument to make. My argument is there is no one on this planet armed with more information on these players than NFL General Managers. Ryan Pace took that wealth of information and TRADED ABOVE HIMSELF to take the player he was 100% certain was the right pick.

That draft set up perfect for him and he struck out playing Tee Ball.

I think Pace got it right with Nagy, but wrong with Trubisky. Which means they will probably both fail.
