Pop Up Ad

Someone help me out. I keep getting that stupid your IPhone is a winner survey pop up. I’ve tried to get rid of it per the various online directions but still there. And it only happens on CCS. Any help getting rid of it is appreciated.

Let me preface this by saying...don't be shocked if this thread ends up moved and/or locked because it's been created at least seven or eight times in the last few months. Not a slight against you OP...just a fair warning.

Things are being looked into what can be done on the CCS end to get the pop-ups and the never ending armies of spam bots under control. Until then, I can tell you what worked for me.

I downloaded one of the several FREE ADBLOCKER BROWSERS you can download for your phone. That link is for android users, but I got to think the Apple Store has similar apps. Once you download the app...you use it as your web browser over whatever you are currently running. I have not had a single pop up ad since I downloaded it three months ago. Yes it sucks you have to download another browser just for this site, but it does not take up a lot of space and will help with any other sites you may visit that are littered with pop-ups.

IIRC, @Urblock started one just called "What the fuck is with the ads?" and an OP that just said "Fix it!".

I was not as helpful in that thread.

I've tried. Had 2-3 developers look at the problem. 1 told me that it's iPhones doing it, the other said it's browsers that are doing it on mobile phones. The site is secure so idk why. But I'll keep looking into it.

It has got to be the mobile browsers then because just some simple ad blocking fixed it right up for me.

Same thing happens to me on my android.

Recently on my laptop if I am moving from 1 forum to another a new window opens with various types of promotions. I have Adblock and keep my anti virus up to date.

I'll try malware bytes to see if that does anything.

I use brave on my phone. I didnt even know there was a pop up ad problem so... works well i guess.

On my phone, I always get a "Your phone has been compromised" pop up on CCS. I usually just close it, open a new browser and that fixes the problem. Then I forget that a pop up just told me my phone had 16 viruses from looking at porn and carry on with my day.
