Kuba, Disco(Strome), Kaner, Carpy, El Gato, Lehner, Keith, Boqvist, Toews, Dach, Jewels, Gilbert, Beaudin, Mitchell, Seabs, Murphy, Kampf, Barrett, Saad

should be your team next year. I'm in favor of gutting everything else and using this year as a cap eating maneuver. How can they unload Dehaan, Shaw, Crow at the least? Then Gus, Koekoek, Maata.

Seabs and Saad are negotiable. I could take it or leave it, but understand the desire for some fresh blood and cap flexibility to sign Strome and Kubalik and Carpenter.

Kurashev is probably next up into that mix of forwards, directly compete with Barrett and Sikura's for spots, along with Wedin or Entwhistle for some grit.

The Holms thing really pisses me off. He showed great poise in pre-season and I don't understand why he wasn't in the mix with all the injuries.

I'd also love a Lehner/Crow duo again but don't see that as realistic. Might as well get something from Nashville, Toronto, or Edmonton and send him to a more dignified last hurrah.

BIG game Thursday night..

Another team we are chasing in the wild card standings. 3 more points and Hawks will actually be at the back door with worst part of schedule behind us. There is good parity in the league this year and that might make the wildcard attainable if they can move some dead contracts or at least use the cap from Seabs/Shaw/DeHaan to get another forward and another defender in here.

At the end of the day we have two goalies and Kane and its at least a chance every night.

Not sure why so many of you are salivating over a back door playoff spot. You do know that all that would accomplish is status quo, right? Everyone in the FO stays. That means more poor drafts, bad trades, lame signings and weak coaching......I realize it's tough to not pull for your team. I know I keep asking myself why I watch but there is a bigger picture to consider.

I'd rather sneak into the playoffs and have opportunity to dethrone the Blues or measure the Avs, maybe pepper Rinne a bit and see what happens, than to watch American Goat Kane disgraced with a bottom 5 finish and put all my hopes in 2025.

Play it out. Fight to the end. Be your best. If any coach, GM, or player is an impediment to that than stop wasting time and get the fuck rid of them.
