It's a mess man. First we have the coaching debacle which, as every new days passes, the firing of Q looks worse and worse. Then we have the numerous offseason moves made by SB which have not improved the team one bit. And now with the injury bug floating around, the lack of depth within the organization is extremely scary. Where the hell are ANY draft picks SB has made besides Dach or Boqvist over the last 3-5 years???? Oh yeah, the one decent one who could actually be helping got traded to Buffalo for some half ass forward. Terrible.

It's bad and its gonna keep getting worse before it gets better unless this guy is finally fired and someone comes in to gut it and rebuild it from scratch.

Whether he stays or goes, its gonna be years and years and years before this team is competitive again. Thanks a lot Stan for a job poorly done.

Yup, my mind is still blown that Joker was traded. What a fleece job that was by Buffalo. And how great would Danault look on this team right now? It's ironic: the couple players that Bowman did somewhat hit on (Joker may not be a "hit" just yet necessarily, but I digress), he trades away. Now he's hanging his hat on Debrincat -- guess we'll see how that goes. Because other than Debrincat, Bowman has absolutely nothing to show for, in terms of drafting.

I knew once this team had a major injury, they'd fold like a cheap suit -- now they have multiple. God forbid, but can you imagine if Kane goes down for any length of time this year?

Even one of his "good" attributes in your opinion can be debated - good with the cap. While there are numerous examples of that not being the case, I will simply mention "the Brent Seabrook" contract and leave it at that.

The guy has been horrible. Most GM's could have kept the team SB inherited together. Dont forget, when the team was loaded, some guys were coming here at a discount just for a shot at winning a Cup. Richards is one example of that. That wasnt a "good" SB move. That was a guy who was late in his career, looking for the best possible chance to win a Cup, even if it meant taking a discount on his salary. You or I could have signed Richards. That was a gift, not a "good" Stan move.

Now that most players probably dont have an interest in coming here unless its for the most money, SB is being exposed for the fraud he has always been. And its been going on for years, right before our very eyes.

You can say that (the bolded) again. I still remember when he re-signed Dick Panic to 2.8; even Panik himself was utterly befuddled at that ridiculous number.

I think the stat was only like dach is still around from his first round picks? And second round is almost as bad?

Something like that, yeah. Off the top of my head, Schmaltz was defnitely a 1st rounder; TT too, if I remember right.

Well said Rinkrat. Rocky really needs to pull the pin and get rid of Bowman and Colliton asap. Give a new GM and coach time this year to get things turned around.
I’ve said this before on the other boards before some of us showed up here - but it’s time to start pointing the finger at Rocky. Reality is, Bowman isn’t gonna admit he sucks and fire himself. I sure wouldn’t and I’m sure nobody else would either.

Bowman has clearly shown us how bad of a GM he is. If he continues to keep his job, no choice but to point the finger at the enabler - Rocky.

He has hit on a few. But not nearly enough. Again, now that the injury bug has hit this team, the lack of depth is shocking.

Just look at what the Blues and Avs have been doing with their numerous injuries, to key players no less. Clearly those teams have legitimate depth and good prospects.

Thats why I feel it’s gonna be a long long time before this team contends again. First off we are stuck with some contracts that aren’t going away anytime soon. And secondly, there is very little talent in the pipeline.

Bowman has literally gutted this franchise from the inside out. Absolutely horrible.

Or "penalty killing specialist" Kruger for 3 mio?

More than a little ironic that the alleged "bean counter" has actually sucked big time at bean counting...

Exactly. Overpays more often than not and gives out NMC's like candy. He gave Chris fricking Kunitz a NMC.

Haha, McNeil -- I remember when he was supposed the "next big thing."
They are all supposed to be the next big thing. People get caught up in the hype of a new draft pick and even Stan benefits from that until hindsight kicks in.

We should all know by know to “believe it when we see it” when it comes to ANY move SB makes.

It has to start at the top with the Grinch. I don't trust him to hire another GM. He's not a hockey guy he's a marketing guy. The team remains profitable so I doubt he goes anywhere unless it's on his own, but until you can get a hockey president that knows how the fuck to hire a hire guy instead of an accountant, we're not in line for a GM worth a shit. Stan was McDick's hand pick splash.

They aren’t as profitable without playoff revenue. That is all bonus money which goes into Rocky’s pockets. I can’t imagine he is happy without those extra 10’s of millions rolling in every spring.

But then again, he continues to let McDonut and SB turn this into more of a clown show with each passing day so who knows what the hell he is thinking. ??‍♂️

Pete Debore has been fired. I don't think the Hawks are going to make any changes, but that's a guy with no bad PR, and has legit experience.
