Cornelius Lucas flat out blows. My guess is he's just a place holder for a waiver wire pick up or a trade. Waiving Barr and Vaughters is a real head scratcher. Barr will be picked up on waivers by another team.

I really do not understand the Bars cut. Although my guess is that Coward is still hurt for week 1 and they were not prepared to have Bars be the swing tackle. So, maybe another move coming there as my understanding is that Lucas is not great at that spot either.

With all the ILB being kept, my assumption there is a focus on special teams coverage and trying to improve that unit - at least for now. Who knows what waiver wire changes happen in the next 24 hours.

Lucas couldn't even block future grocery baggers. He was getting thrown around by future insurance salesmen, and pancaked by guys who will be working for a moving company next week. What makes them think he's of any use against NFL players?

There has to be something else to the Bars situation. He’s was basically a lock for the roster for the local beat guys (Wiederer, Jahns, Dickerson, Hogue) and seemed to be a pleasant surprise and solid tackle.

I will be interested to see if we claim anyone tomorrow. It will be a lot harder to be awarded any quality players given how far down the waiver wire we are this year. One player I wouldn’t mind kicking the tires on is Noah Spence. If I remember correctly Pace was really high on him coming out in the draft.
