I’m from Chicago. Elgin actually but when I tell someone Elgin, they’re like, where is that. So I just say Chicago. I currently live in Austin. Every time the Bears come to Houston, I always go watch them. But I’m curious how much do season tickets cost. Never knew. Then I would have to fly there and back every game. Have to see if it’s worth it so I’m trying to see all the prices. Never been to a Bears game in Soldier Field. Looking forward to it

Cost can vary depending on if you're talking about going through the permanent seat license marketplace, buying them secondhand from a season ticket holder or if you're talking about being on the season ticket waiting list.

For example here is the PSL marketplace: https://bears.seasonticketrights.com/permanent-seat-licenses/for-sale.aspx

Cool. I just saw one around $1,500. Was thinking of spending $3,200-$3,500 on tickets and flights. With a flight hook up of course. For some reason, I thought season tickets started around $5,000 and up.

Yeah that’s just for the PSL, that does not include the yearly ticket cost. The reason those are so cheap is because it is for club level seats which cost a small fortune every year, usually 4x the cost of typical seats.

Yeah sorry, I wasn't clear on that. You're only buying the rights to the tickets with a PSL. Still have to pay for the actual tickets after acquiring the license.

So then what’s the least I could be looking at? I ask because I’m confused a bit. Just an estimate.

My season tickets cost me $1004 each this year. These seats are in section 436 and are not PSL seats so I was on the wait list for over a decade to get them.

If you buy a Personal Seat License from a private individual then you only own the rights to buy tickets to that seat, this is a one time expense. You still have to pay the Bears every year for the tickets.
So find someone selling thier PSLs and negotiate with them first
https://bears.seasonticketrights.com/permanent-seat-licenses/for-sale.aspx
Then pay the Bears for the tickets each year, Which in the lower level can range from $1300 (section 146) to $1800 (section 138) per year.

There are a few reasons to buy a PSL instead of just waiting on the list like I did.
1) no waiting, you are now a season ticket holder
2) better seats, PSL seats are the only seats on the sidelines of the lower level.
3) you cant be forced to move, it’s unlikely, however a non PSL STH could be moved to different seats from year to year.

Best seats in the house...my basement bar watching on the big screen.

Sport tickets are getting completely out of hand. Not including the food and beverage prices. It’s a complete shame. Atlanta is doing it right on the concession prices.

So you lived in Chicago but never went to a Bears game. Oy vey!

I think Chicago has only played in Houston twice since the Oilers in the early 90’s...guess you are jonesing.

Every time buying tickets to game comes up someone has to Insert this bullshit. Some people enjoy the stadium experience and the energy of the crowd.

I would put my home theater setup up against 99% of the people here ( I dont have smoke machines) but I still get a rush out of being at the game.

Oh I get the being at the game feel but it’s not always worth the several hundred dollars per game. Especially as of late.
