Should Bears target an OLB in free agency?

I'm sick of Floyd underperforming while Mack is fighting double teams. I'd rather pay someone else the fifteen or whatever Floyd is due next year.

Free agents 2019 sacks:

Leonard Floyd: 3 sacks
Robert Quinn: 9.5 sacks
Dante Fowler: 7.5 sacks
Whitney Mercilus: 5 sacks, 1 int
Shaq Barrett: 14.5 sacks, 1 int
Matthew Judon: 7 sacks
Bud Dupree: 8.5 sacks
Bruce Irvin: 5.5 sacks

Yes, performance of Floyd while all the attention Mack is getting is pretty pathetic.

I’d love to get Judon but I doubt we’ll be able to afford him.

I think they should but I see them retaining Floyd and picking up an Aaron Lynch level guy

Wonder what kind of contract Irvin will get next season. He might be a realistic replacement.

Why not just bring back Aaron Lynch?

Yep. It's already time to start replacing Pace's draft picks. White, Shaheen, hopefully Floyd then Trubisky next year.

Whata great GM.

Mack is fighting just TEs at times too and not fairing very well obviously. Can we all just stop making excuses for this overpaid slacker?

Thanks

All GMs hit on 100% of picks. Fuck pace.

Bears can get a guard in the draft and a serviceable RT in free agency.

Draft: OG, TE
Free Agency: OLB, RT

I feel just the opposite. Rookie TE’s don’t do much their first season so Pace should sign a veteran who can contribute right away. Reinvest the Long savings in RG and draft a mid round OT to push Leno and Massie.
