Tapatalk brought some good things to the table a long while ago. But here's the real problem and ultimate conclusion, all the sites that use it without interface problems NOW (a number that is outweighed by the number of sites *with* functionality issues) still have neglected security issues and/or are stuck in a dead end software stack. That means, while the app works for a lot of people, there is a lot both behind the scenes and under the hood that has serious problems. Problems that require major changes and a huge re-write to overcome.

So while, yes, Tapatalk feels nicer to a lot of users, it is structurally so problematic, that using it here(unsupported IIRC, so it would be a butchered hackjob if it was working at all) would merely open up another set of long term problems. The better solution is boring, more wait and see. Find out what project/group can come out and release something for popular platforms that does what Xenforo doesn't, that does all the things people like/liked about Tapatalk, and something that has a long term maintenance path that does NOT alienate site owners and admins by ignoring fatal issues for extended periods of time.

For the time being, Xenforo on a mobile browser is very good. Not perfect, not great or excellent, just very good. Especially considering a lot of single platform alternatives that don't come close to rendering on a mobile browser with core functionality consistently working.

Why so serious?

All I want is a page jump option at the top and the bottom of the pages instead of just the bottom. This seems like a very reasonable request. I've already worked around any other issues I've had with the "better" message board that makes literally everything more difficult to accomplish.

use your thumb to scroll or you can grab the scroller on the side of the screen and pull it down to the bottom of your screen and wait for the page to load up, takes less than a second.

And it won't even give his fone a virus! Secure as can be... unlike Tapatalk!

You don't understand in @Burque's line of work seconds matter, they could prove the difference between life and death. That is why he is being so serious.

Besides.

makes literally everything more difficult to accomplish.

Literally everything!
