It is not a ranking system. I will not rank all these guitarists. My favorite is Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix is my second favorite. From there it is a free for all. I did list my top ten though.

Good stuff, the first halve of the song reminded me of Robin Trower then before the 4:00 mark the bass and drums go off on a tangent. I had never heard of him, not a jazz guy, thanks for sharing.

Phil Keaggy has frequently been listed as one of the world's top-three "finger-style", as well as "finger-picking", guitarists by Guitar Player Magazine readers' polls. Of course he plays great electric too. I like his original singer/songwriter rock albums myself (Sunday's Child, Crimson and Blue), but of his 58 studio albums the vast majority are instrumental. He was guitarist/lead vocal from the three piece band Glass Harp that had some fame opening for Hendrix, Yes, etc.

Keaggy became a pioneer in the live performance use of Looping.
