Tennessee has found its new leader.

The Titans have hired Mike Vrabel as the franchise's new head coach, the team announced on Saturday. Vrabel previously coached with the Houston Texans from 2014-16 as linebackers coach, and spent 2017 as the Texans' defensive coordinator.

He has half as much NFL coaching experience as Nagy...

Really? It depends on what staff he puts together, but it looks like the Bears have made the best coaching moves so far. I mean, everywhere else has me completely unimpressed.

I don't understand this hire at all. He seems like a solid guy, but Mariotta needs some continuity in their offense if he is going to develop to his potential. Hiring a defensive HC won't get that done. Glad the Bears aren't going to do that with Trubs.

This was probably the worst year to need a new HC in a while.

Am I mixing up people here or wasn't it Mularkey that kicked the Titans to the curb by not wanting to fire his OC?

yep. He was extended but he refused to fire his OC, so he and the Titans parted ways

Word is he was let go because they wanted MM to change his offense to feature MM as more of a pocket passer and eliminate so much running so as to protect his slight frame.
