True, better to live your life as a nerd troll who's sole goal is to one up people on a message board.

50 bucks aint shit to me, its a night out drinking. He has one of the lowest odds of any QB, and a QB nearly ALWAYS wins it. Mitch has a great supporting cast, a great system, and a great coach.

I'm sure everyone was picking mahomes to be mvp last year at this time.

OHH NO WAIT, he had 55/1 odds.

Go fuck off somewhere else.
Ms Adows logic: Mahomes won the MVP with better odds in 2018, so that means Trubs is an awesome bet in 2019.

And no one here thinks you have more than 50$ in a bank account.

The first 8 games of the season are Packers, Broncos, Redskins, Vikings, Raiders, Saints, Chargers, Eagles. The teams in bold are playoff teams, while the other teams have strong defenses (Denver, Vikings) and/or will have something to prove (everyone else besides the Vikings and the Broncos). None of those games should be a "gimme".

Assuming no major injuries, by the middle of this season, we'll clearly know whether Trubisky is worth extending.

Packers, rejuvenated and always dangerous Rodgers wanting to prove it was his coach and they have Amos.
Broncos, Fangio may have our #.
Redskins, how good is Haskins?
Vikings, still a contender and have improved Cousin's protection.
Raiders, meh but may get intell for Gruden Jr. I also still think Carr can be spoiler if Gruden tweaks him back to form.
Saints, Chargers, Eagles. Obvious.

Matt Ryan won it in 2016 with 90/1 preseason odds.

It fucking happens. And its nearly always a QB. Mitch is set up to succeed better than any bears QB probably ever. He has some of the lowest odds of a QB.

The only people who think its a stupid bet are stupid people like you.

We will go 11-5 or 12-4 with losses to one of Philly or the Chargers, Packers in Green Bay, Broncos, and then a random loss.

I agree with op. Jaguars ended up paying their bum qb hoping he would get over the hump and develop and their team ship sunk cause of it. Don’t pay for hope pay for production

6, maybe 7 or even 8 of those teams all have better QBs than Trubisky as well. Going to be tough.

Last year.

You don't know what he will do this season. The growth was obvious last year. One would expect in year three for the growth to continue.

I put 50 on trubisky to win mvp with 66/1 odds this year.

Homer till the day i die son.

Well since you could have got 75/1 at Caesar's for Trubisky as MVP, yours was truly a stupid bet.

I would say QB , RB1, and TE are all areas that could be considered unsettled as to their benefit/determent factor to the team. I think QB will step up, RB1 and TE are the biggest ifs for me. Oh and for Novak add a big RG to that as well. And don't forget the huge void left by Amos.
Erm, how did you miss kicker? Lack of one cost the Bears dearly last season.

I think Kicker is just an excuse for a QB not putting up enough touchdowns if I'm being honest. Only guys like @truthbedamned are going to blame the kicker for the team not winning games.

Idk why ppl are shitting on CRM's post. I think we'll have a good idea of what we have in Trubisky by mid-season.

My gut says he'll be good enough to extend, and we'll over pay him. I don't believe he'll sign a team friendly deal because it's rare and most of these guys' agents get paid when their player gets paid, so they encourage them not to take a low ball offer.

CRM is right. Why not entertain the idea of the Bears bucking the norm and refuse to pay a middle talent QB an extortionate amount of money? Do you think if Cincinnati could balk on Dalton now they would? What about buyer's remorse with Flacco in Baltimore? Quit giving big money to average QBs because your afraid of the unknown.

You can @truthebedamned until hell freezes over. I don't do social media so I don't get summoned whenever someone says something stupid.

Jameis at 60/1.
Marriota at 60/1.
What awful bets

And the worst of all...

Jimmy Garappolo at 40/1
What is the fascination with this 5 yr 10 start injury prone bum?

I’m thinking of putting $15-20 down on the Bears super bowl (I know that’s not a lot but remember I’m a poor college student) anybody know where the best place I can do that at?

Well the main issue with that we would have to trade from the bottom of the first round to near the top, and we currently don’t have anywhere near that draft capital. We would have to “break up the band” which is already a super bowl quality band for the foreseeable future for draft picks just to sink into 1 position and then rebuild the team all over again. That seems like a way bigger risk than extending Trubisky.
