Unfortunately that wouldn’t happen. They’d trot him out next year saying he FINALLY figured out the position and is now a graduate of offense 4.0. And we’d waste another year of SB caliber defense.

I hope we hear sometime in the future that this is true. Daniel proved that Trubitchsky isn't an elite talent or franchise QB. Definitely not as good as the #2 pick should be. Daniel came in and played just at well as mitch. Our team is no worse with Daniel in there. We are not better, but we are not worse.
The bad thing for us is now the Trubitchsky camp gets an excuse and we have to carry him over to next year. The team won't move on from him without him playing the year and proving how bad he is. We will be stuck until next year now waiting for management to figure out what everybody else already knows. He will get the 2020 season now to hold us back before we move on from him.
Just remember, he couldn't beat out Marquise Williams at mighty North Carolina. He finally got on the field after Williams graduated.

His crowning achievement was his loss to Stanford in the Sun Bowl (a game in which he had 3 turnovers), Don't forget that. This guy was and is a college football legend.

In fact in the 3 years as a starter he only made one bowl game. His sophomore season. The Texas Bowl. He lost. (In his defense he only started like 6 or 7 games his freshman year.)
