He is. Instinctual ability to make plays. Natural feel for football. Can make the throws people who go by sabermetrics and radar guns don't think he can. Slips sacks like Big Ben, runs with awareness and intelligence, makes clutch plays, commands the big stage like a seasoned veteran in his rookie year. A mature grown up adult with all the leadership you ever need. On pace to have an MVP year, far less ROY.

I hope his career isn't hampered by injury to the point that it's significantly deteriorated.

A healthy Deshaun Watson is the #1 guy you'd want to build a team around. The best and most important football player in the world right now.

You could certainly see the difference in the team without him. They suck now and won't even be able to even win that shitty division they're in. But why all these ACL injuries with athletes? What are they doing wrong?

Bill O’Brien is sure surly now that he has to go Savage

They’d be better off with Kap for the rest of the year.

He may be the best but that means nothing if Watson lacks the availability to play.

Mick, I've never been quite sure what the point of creating threads like this is. Attention whoring? Contrarianism?

I mean, if you actually believe the title, well...then you're just a moron. So, what is the end-game here? Eliciting imbecilic responses? If that is the case, then to what end? Masturbatory gratification at the expense of making phantasmal internet entities look foolish?

My invitation to dispute it obviously means I actually think it. There is no alternative motive to posting it. If you disagree with it, use logic to argue the point or stfu, pretty simple stuff.

I used to really like Watson but with all the knob polishing that has been going on I am beginning to dislike him for absolutely no reason than to hope it shuts all of these people up.

Know that is wrong but oh well. I am actually expecting remy to tell us what Watson's stats would have been if he had actually played yesterday because he seems to be able to predict what Watson would have done in any given situation.

What does that have to do with Watson? RGIII took his whole rookie season to put as many TDs on the board as Watson did in six games.

He's not playing, therefore not the best player in the world. Logic > Mickles' pathetic trolling. Move back in with Fiona, you at least tried a little harder when you were trying to get into her blubbery blowhole.

Deshaun Watson is 2-3 as a starter. Is he the best rookie QB out of the draft this year? Absolutely. Saying that he is the best player in football sounds absolutely stupid.

Texans lost 33-36 against NE. In that game brady threw for 378 yards and 5 TDs. Watson threw for 300 yards, 2 TD's, and 2 INTs. See the major difference in the statline aside from the TD difference is the 2 turnovers. You don't beat great teams by turning the ball over.

The texans lost to the Chiefs 42-34, but this score is quite misleading. Through 3 quarters the Texans only managed 13 points. The Chiefs had a sizeable lead and shut it down, they then allowed 3 TD's in the 4th quarter and the Texans still lost by 8 points because they couldn't score in the first 3 quarters.

In the loss to the Seahawks Deshaun Watson had 4 TD's and 3 INTS compared to Russell Wilson's 4 TD's and 1 INT. Turns out they lost that game and Watson threw a pick 6. How are you going to just ignore these costly interceptions and lost games yet proclaim Watson to be the best player?

Don't let facts get in the way of a good slobfest.

I just can't objectively say after 6 games, "This guy is the best player in the league". And I couldn't say that if I had ONE game to win, that out of every QB in the league, I would start Deshaun Watson over guys like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers(obviously a healthy Rodgers). He probably wouldn't even be in my top 5, honestly.

I feel like in order to be the best in the world, you need to display a lengthy pattern of playing Hall of Fame caliber football at the NFL level.

It's within reason to think that teams could play him tougher next year after studying lots of tape on him. It's also within reason, that while defenses defend him better, he learns their tendencies and weaknesses, adjusts, and exploits them. Only time will tell.

I'm not going to be one of the people to bash or be pissed off like it's Watson vs. Trubisky or anything. But I definitely can't agree with you. To each his own!

I notice a strange obsession for athletic black QBs from the OP over the years. Did I say strange?
