So the last reasonable starting help is gone....going to rely on a guy who was great and then became decidedly average as the season ground on, and two guys fresh off Tommy John to anchor the rotation...year 16 of the 30 year rebuild plan coming up...

All the money in the world to spend and then some and they can't even get free agents to compliment the rebuild team. It's absolutely infuriating.

They only needed 2 more FAs for the next 3 years and yet refuse to overpay to compensate the city, taxes, and bad team. Surely they must realize they have to overpay to make it worth a FAs while. What dont they understand about competitiveness and taxes?
Oh well, there is always the year after next year. This year they offered a competitive price for the first time, I guess it's a start.
