Now Gio is just a Contreras type flyer.

I love that they have two pitchers pitchers from elite staff experiences of Wash, ATL, and Houston. These guys Gio and Dallas have rubbed elbows with alot of hall of famers.

The 2020 season could be really fun. If Gialto is a stud again, Kuechel does what we expect, Reynaldo pitches like he did after the All Star break, and Kopech can step it up after coming off his surgery the starting rotation will perform the best it has in a while. I'm looking forward to the start of next year for he first time in a long time.

I don't want to start a new thread for this but I read that the Sox are in pursuit of Edwin Encarnacion.

I'd rather have Castellanos. They have enough 1B\DH types.

Yep, me too. Didn't know they were still interested in Nick C.

Giolito
Kuechel
Gonzales
Lopez
Cease
Kopech

Giolito IMO should stay around that level. My problem with him was the Cubs wrecked him both times and the Cubs were struggling in season at the plate. So there is something there. Higher pressure or tipping. Who knows

Cease has a ton of talent. I see him as the future ace. He was the best pitching talent the Cubs had sense Mark Prior.

Kuechel IMO is equal to Jon Lester in talent minus a few years. I wouldn't expect him to carry the team

Geo hard to tell. He did great in Mil. That doesn't mean that he is a great pitcher.

But over all they have some talent for sure.

I would go with:

Giolito
Kuechel
Lopez
Gonzalez
Ceace

Kopech IMO you really need to build up his arm again in lower levels and lower pressure. Last thing the Sox needs is a blown out starter. To add to this seeing how they added 2 lefties they are not banking on Kopech and Rondon. Those 2 IMO will have plenty of time to strengthen their arms vs being depended upon.
