Watching the Skins game, I thought Hicks didn't look like his normal dominant self even before he left the game limping. If it's a nagging thing that's preventing him from playing at his best, then I'd rather they sit him through the bye week and get healthy.

While of course we want him out there, I'm totally down with him sitting if there are any nagging issues. He's way too important to risk his health for down the stretch.
What about Nagying issues?

With Nichols being out, it would leave the Bears thin on the dline. It would mean a lot of Nick Williams and Abdullah Anderson (3 man rotation RRH). It may open up the running game for the Vikings a bit.

Hicks will not play, but he will summon his strength and will thru the rest of the DLINE and it will reach Mack and Flloyd as well. This energy will be so overwhelming, it will cause Cousins to literally shit his pants at least twice to thrice in this game.

Those opportunities will lead to points. BEARS WIN

It's more likely he just plays.

I think he plays this week and sits against the Raiders and then have a 2nd week with the bye.

It would help to not have him travel too. He should stay back for treatment.

I would think he would want to go to London even if he doesn't play just because it would be like a vacation.

I’m sure he’d prefer to go even if he’s just supporting his teammates.

However, I don’t think that travel will help at all. He needs to stay back and get regular treatment at Halas Hall. He can go to London in the off-season.

A lot of key players are nicked up. Vikings are pretty healthy.

Yeah...

I could see Floyd getting hurt in this one if the Vikings are able to establish a running game.

I’d be extremely surprised if he doesn’t play.

This seems to be their MO under Nagy. Play hurt against a good team, take the next week or two off against not so good teams.

I’d bet Hicks plays, then doesn’t take the London trip and rests during the bye. In essence, 3 weeks off after playing hurt against the Vikings.

My opinion Tuesday morning after watching him walk out of the arena courtesy of Biggs was;

Rest all week
Play early downs Sunday
Then have him shut down for the raiders game which means he also wouldn’t fly with the team to London.
In that scenario your not forcing a larger man onto a plane for 10 hours and your then giving him a solid 14 days rest.

I see no reason why that still can’t or won’t be the case

Maybe, but why take the chance. Bears beat Viks with or without him.
