I think it's too early to tell. Rookies are often impatient at the plate, and I've seen far worse than Colvin in that area. If he doesn't show much improvement, I would send him to AAA for some work on his hitting if I were the Cubs since he skipped that level. I try to not get too excited...

Samardzija should be sent to the minors. Who knows, if he had some REAL training (instead of being thrown to the wolves in the majors) he might actually be able to pitch. I almost feel sorry for him at times, as I don't know that the Cubs have really done him any favors by having him miss minor...

Right now I would have to go with Silva. He's had 2/2 excellent outings in regular season, and all but one good outing in the spring. Gorzelanny doing well, too. It's an unusual positive dilemma for the Cubs.
