  1. Gov Pritzker: Bears new stadium is “non-starter” for state

Time to bring out that old threat of moving to nw Indiana and Illinois losing all Bears related tax revenue. If it's in the right spot they could still see the lake and the Chicago skyline too which is apparently really important to some people. And selfishly it's a much closer drive for me.
  2. 3rd in Division?

Theres a possible scenario where the Bears are greatly improved, win 10 games, and still end up 3rd in the division. The Bears are likely playing for a wild card spot this year not the division. Theres talent on offense but Waldron is an unknown if he knows what to do with it and I'm not sold...
  3. Now what?? Pick 122 discussion

I wouldn't mind this. Your punter is a starter that's going to have an impact this year. Odds are any other position is going to be a backup project.
  4. Official- In Draft Thread

It was a good year to have 2 top ten picks and not much else. No reason to clutter the roster with a bunch of late rounds picks in a shallow draft year. Now I'm wondering if the lack of picks was a coincidence or if Poles is really that smart and foresaw a shallow draft and no need for those...
  5. Rome Odunze

Didn't know a lot about him off the field but this video is promising. And the meatball in me got excited seeing he has a running hill like Walter. The future looks bright.
  6. Official- In Draft Thread

It has a chance to be. But the year with Brandon Marshall, Alshon, Bennet, and Forte was stacked with talent too. But this is shaping up to be better than that.
  7. Official- In Draft Thread

    It's Rome!
  8. OT: In other NFL news

The pay for top receivers is getting too high to have one on a contending team. If you're a yearly contender that means you have a QB eating up a ton of the cap. Then you have to pay oline, pass rushers, and secondary. I don't see paying a WR 30+ mil a year as a priority on a deep team. Gonna...
  9. Is Flus on the Hot Seat?

He should have been fired after last season. Alan Williams getting fired and Flus taking over the D saved him. Just listening to him in press conferences he comes across as kind of weird and not that intelligent. He's clearly not the coach that's going to lead the Bears to a superbowl. Should...
  10. At the end of the season, the Bears won a few meaningless games that were ultimately of no use

The one game I agree that was a useless win was the second Vikings game. The Bears didn't deserve to win that one, Josh Dobbs and the Vikings were just worse. Bears didn't do anything on offense all game but kick field goals. Didn't do anything to improve Fields stock. That one would have moved...
  11. CW got his NFL nickname already.

This is karma for all the years Bears fans made fun of "Erin" Rodgers.
  12. NFL teams vote for XFL style kickoffs

That was my first thought seeing this too. Theres no depth to the kicking team. All Hester would need is one hole and he'd be gone.
  13. Question...Fields gone, are we 100% on Williams

CW just makes sense. But hopefully Poles is doing his due diligence on Maye and the others. My fear with Bears history and bad luck is CW becomes Baker Mayfield or Kyler Murray and Maye ends up like Josh Allen or Herbert. I'd feel closer to 100% about CW if he was a few inches taller.
  14. Caleb Williams = Justin Fields 2.0

You say this about CW then go on to say they should draft Daniels. Daniels is the one closest to resembling Fields. He's going to have the same problems Fields has in the NFL.
  15. Should the Bears tag and Trade JJ?

He's earned a nice payday. I just worry with his injury history going back to college he's going to be a guy that falls off really quickly. He's not built lean and athletic like a Charles Tillman type. He's the type thats going to show up to camp one year a little overweight and his speeds going...
