    2024 NFL Draft discussion

I've mentioned this idea several times, and it's really all that needs to be said. Teams pool players, if you have nice pool of guys in the same basket at your slot you try to trade back. If not, you select.

How does trading back help the Bears in a shallow draft?

I think if they have several players who are in the same bucket, then trading back a few spots will certainly be an option. They should be able to get a 3rd from DEN or LV if those teams are interested. If there's one guy they think is far better than the rest, take him.

    2024 NFL Draft discussion

Jets are going to go after it with Rodgers this year, doubt they spend their highest pick on someone who won't play barring injury.

    Free-Agency Leftovers

Clowney was $20m/2 years. Probably a bit rich for him.

Poles on trading Fields and evaluating Caleb

Talent for QBs is really difficult to see. He's incredibly athletic and has all the tools you want to see physically. It remains to be seen if he's talented in terms of the most important thing, and that's getting the ball where it needs to be at the right time. He didn't show enough of that.

20 mins of CW playing from the pocket

That is just a ridiculously impressive film. His ability to see it and just pull the trigger and throw a strike from any platform is insane.

    2025 NFL Draft WR prospects

Luther Burden is a beast. I'd keep in mind that a year ago very few people had Odunze as an elite prospect, and not many more had Nabers at that level.

    Calais Campbell

Yes, he's still effective and versatile. Would be a guy to target after the draft if you have a glaring hole. Doubt he'd come to be anything less than a guy projected for 500 snaps.

    Getting more picks

If you're att #9 and you have three guys all ranked similarly at positions of need, then maybe try to trade down a few spots to one of the QB needy teams and pick up a 3rd rounder. If it's just one or two guys, pull the trigger. Good spot to be in. Not a ton of needs.

Keenan Allen is an absolute stud - Kollmann vid + historical data

With Allen I think the Bears would like to shoot for something in the range of $60m/3 years with maybe $40 gtd. Basically a two year deal with a team option on the third. Seeing as Allen has $0 gtd right now, he might take it as a hedge against a bad injury or big decline this year. Tough to...

Byron Murphy is a dark horse target at 9

I would put Robinson right there with him depending on the type of player you want. I am an Illinois fan (haha, jokes on me) and I've watched Newton for most of his snaps the last couple years. He was misused in their 3-3-5, basically wasn't asked to press the gap which is what he's best at...

Byron Murphy is a dark horse target at 9

I think they are planning on Dexter as teh starting 3, but they will consider targeting one in the draft as well. Anyway you slice it, they are short a couple guys on the DL right now.
