    Deep team

A lot will depend on how Johnson is used by Colliton. If he uses him as a wing, he could very well be in the top six -- knowing this team and how lines always change, he probably will be for at least some time this season. If he uses him as center (with Dach and Toews), then that open wing in...

    Deep team

He misses just as many assignments and battles just as little at center. Plus, he's God-awful at face-offs. If people want to say he's better at center than he is at wing, I'd disagree, if not heed that the difference is negligible at best.

Honestly, I'm so sick of centers who are moved to wing. The Blackhawks have always loved doing this. If anyone doesn't need to play center, it's Strome. If Johnson isn't at least a better option at center than Strome, he shouldn't have been signed in the first place. Put him as 3LC. Toews, Dach...

You forgot Tyler Johnson. I love Hagel, but he should be on the 3rd line. He's a stud 3rd line player. He doesn't have the offensive capabilities to be on your top line. Also, Khaira on the second line? Isn't he a 4th liner, at best?

Mid-90's by Jonah Hill. It's blah, if not bad. Uncomfortable to watch at times because the main character is like 12 years old in real life and they put him in some pretty "adult" situations with actors who look like they're in their 20's in real life, but are supposed to be playing high school...

    Trailer Park Boys!

I've always loved this show, especially the first few seasons. I want to say up to season 7 or 8. After that though, it starts to take a dive sadly -- I mean there are still good moments, but it's not the same and the later seasons don't have that "heart" that you're talking about. That's...

    Murphy signed 4 years

Blah. Murphy was never the player he was advertised to be since he arrived here, but he isn't completely useless and the price isn't terrible. Maybe he looks better in this reconstructed blue-line, that's the hope anyway.

    New commentator for Hawk games

Yeah, I liked Mayers too. Konroyd I won't really miss though, in all honesty -- nothing against the guy personally, but he was too much of a company man as an analyst and he was very dull/monotone as a color man. Hope this new guy knows his stuff. I think I remember his one broadcast this season...

Yeah. I think all the Marvel movies are boring, and now this "parallel universe" stuff where there's like 4 different Batmans in the upcoming Flash movie, it's just stupid. It's just so damn lazy, from a writing perspective, especially in the Spiderman trailer. "Oh, let's bring back all the old...

    Nylander Re-signed

I said this right when the trade happened, and considering we let Zadorov go this off-season, it appears to be true: Stillman was a contingency for Zadorov (a poor-man's version perhaps, but nonetheless). So you get Borgstrom and Stillman, two decent contingencies (plus a pick) but we had to eat...

    Nylander Re-signed

Yeah Toews is an unknown, even for this year in my view. He put out that statement a couple months ago but until I actually see him on the ice in uniform, I'll remain nervous. Seems like the narrative has always been that Debrincat will replace Kane and Dach will replace Toews. Of course, Joker...

That's awesome. Not trying to scare you, but D-man is always tough because the crowd always notices when you're down a goal and you don't hold the puck in, and the "ohhh" is always audible in the kids' games. Lot of young D have trouble with this, so be sure you practice that with him!

    Nylander Re-signed

I like the "bad back" comment, lol. Yes, but to me, Connelly wasn't the main piece in that trade; that was Borgstrom. Maybe I'm wrong and Stan does think Connelly has some juice left, we'll see. Borgstrom is interesting in the sense that, if Dach falters badly, you have somewhat of a contingency.
