  1. Two mocks... which do you prefer?

Even if Mooney comes back as the top slot, Scott and Velus Jones don't inspire confidence. I lean towards the second draft, TBH. Dylan Laube, I think could be a real find at RB. Payton Wilson could make an excellent WLB (he's flashed some real pass-rush skills) so the Bears can move Edwards...
  2. Two mocks... which do you prefer?

RL getting in the way of so many... But I have been thinking of how to help Fields out... and have a massive haul for 2025.
  3. Two mocks... which do you prefer?

Mock draft #1 - Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 3-technique. Mock draft #2 - supercharged offense: In the first draft, I proposed a deal with the Patriots (#2 overall for #3, #68, and a 2025 2nd). In the second, after I dealt #1 overall to the Commanders, the Patriots offered #3, #34, #68, and the...
  4. A mock offseason - Going with Fields in 2024

Bowers and Legette do just that, plus you have Cordarelle Patterson as a third-down back/slot option. The other part is to make the defense a juggernaut as well - Burns and Newton finish that process.
  5. A mock offseason - Going with Fields in 2024

It was the deal offered in the PFN draft. They took Caleb Williams. The other offer I considered was the Patriots, with firsts in 2024 and 2025, seconds both years, and a third. Interesting... still, versatile at all positions. PFN had him at guard, and I got him to replace Davis. Nice to know...
  6. A mock offseason - Going with Fields in 2024

Deciding to roll with a mock offseason. First assumption - Bears stick with Justin Fields, who did seem to step up, and flashed enough improvement to go for his fifth-year option. Without further ado, here's my roster after free-agency moves...
  7. Grade the OC Hire

Went with A, largely with how he turned Geno Smith around. That points to something positive if the Bears stick with Fields (which I would do, personally). If they go QB, again, the Smith turnaround is a positive sign.
  8. Fields glass half full.

Exactly. What the Bears did in 2022 worked pretty well, and they should go with that a bit more. With a healthy Moore and Mooney, play-action could be very dangerous. If they end up 1-2 in the draft, Marvin Harrison Jr. takes the O up another notch while Jared Verse makes the pass rush better.
  9. Fields Is Good or Bad?..

Think he can be the guy, but the Bears need to fix left guard and center ASAP, and also get a defense that can reliably stop teams. LB and DB look solid if guys are healthy, but the D-Line needs a big upgrade, particularly at DE.
  10. Fields glass half full.

Those are not horrible numbers. Rushing yardage down from last year, though.
  11. Fields glass half full.

At this point, I keep Fields, and I see who wants Williams/Maye badly enough to do a deal. Then again, if not... Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jared Verse would both help the team in various ways. The pass rush is atrocious - and Verse fixes that. Harrison teams up with Mooney and Moore to bolster the...
  12. If the Bears end up with the #1 overall pick - Caleb Williams or Drake Maye and why?

Harrison and Verse would be my picks for 1-2.
  13. Fields Is Good or Bad?..

And I like what I see from Fields here and from 2022. The Bears need to build around a strong running attack (they have Johnson and Herbert to do that) with a lot of play-action and to use Fields on the ground. Upgrade from Blasingame at FB, and they could work the triple option. At this...
  14. We just drafted the 28th graded prospect...

I didn't like Carter, not after the off-the-field stuff and that traffic thing. Wright's going to be a solid RT for Fields. Personally liked the RT from Ohio State, Jones better - a real monster.
  15. We just drafted the 28th graded prospect...

Skoronski, would have fit nicely at RT or, worst case, LG. Wish the Falcons hadn't taken Bijan Robinson, I liked that thought of him, Herbert, and Fields.
