The only negative with Gase is that if the Bears offense is even halfway decent with him running the show next season, he will more than likely get hired as a head coach somewhere since he was so close to getting hired this season.

I don't think they would bring him in earlier if they hadn't already decided on a GM. The Falcons could have moved their interview back if needed since Bowles is not coaching in the playoffs anyway. Even if the Bears wanted to give the Falcons the Saturday interview, why go ahead and bring him...
Ballard me be a fantastic option for all I know, but his resume is so similar to Emery's it scares me a bit.
BTW, what is the difference between Director of Player Personnel (Ballard) and Director of Scouting (Emery)?
