  1. Our prized recruit from the rebuild haul

Jed is not nearly as intelligent as Theo was and doesn't have even 5% of the personality to attract free agents. The Cubs are doomed for a repeat of the 70's - 2014 with an occasional star who gets everyone excited but ultimately fails. The management in place has no clue! Jed sold the farm...
  2. ROSS MUST GO!

I couldn't agree more. The team is an embarrassment and frankly, unwatchable. I do feel sorry for Ross but, that being said, I don't believe he has what it takes to be a competitive big league manager. I think he is better suited to be a MLB studio personaility. Obviously, the GM must go as...
  3. ROSS MUST GO!

He is not a major league manager! The team is totally out of control and he has no idea of how to motivate the players and certainly doesn't know how to get the best out of them. He is well-liked by players but he doesn't have the skills to propel them to perform better.
  4. Ross Inexperience Shows!

Good managers know how to get the best out of their players and instill confidence. The Cub players look as if they know they are eventually going to lose. It's the manager's job to change their "mindset."
  5. Ross Inexperience Shows!

How many 1 run games are the Cubs going to lose to finally convince others that Ross doesn't have what it takes to manage in the big leagues? Good managers figure out ways to win those games. Ross-a good guy and probably a player's manager but doesn't have the skills to be a top flight manager!
  6. 12 in a row how long can it go

It is, at best, a AA team! Hoyer should be fired.
  7. Let's Face It!

This will not be like the last rebuild. Hoyer is no Epstein. Theo was able to attract quality players because of who he was and the confidence he projected. Hoyer does not have that charisma. He doesn't exude that enthusiasm. He cannot attract quality based on his personaility like Theo did...
  8. I am all in on rebuild

Rizzo was not a leader. He was a great cheerleader, not a leader. The trio all had their strengths and weaknesses but their combined talent would never win a WS. They won in 2016 not because of them but because of the other 'leaders" on the team like Lester, Lackey, Fowler and Ross. Their...
  9. Get Rid of Bryant!

I believe that’s why he hasn’t been traded yet. Teams don’t value him as much as the Cubs would like and they haven’t been offered an attractive package as a result. Other teams know that he just isn’t that good. He has never learned how to use his body to hit versus just his arms.
  10. Get Rid of Bryant!

Haha. As usual, he comes up with bases loaded x2 in all star game and has nothing to show for it. 5 men LOB. Typical Bryant.
  11. Get Rid of Bryant!

He has never wanted to be here. He has made that perfectly clear. Furthermore, he is not a clutch hitter and every time he slides or falls to the ground, he comes up lame. He is either extremely injury-prone or just soft. I say unload him now while he still has some market value.
  12. Let's Face It....

This is not the same team as 2016, not even close. While there is some individual talent on the current team, there is nobody on this team that has the fire in their belly like John Lackey, Jon Lester, David Ross, Miguel Montero or Ben Zobrist. Even if they didn't have the same natural...
  13. Time to end the "Arrietta Homecoming Experiment"

He is no worse than all the other starters with the exception of Kyle. None of them are overpowering and, unless they hit their spots 100% of the time (which is literally impossible), opposing players use them like batting practice pitchers.
  14. This is NOT a winning team!

This team has shown for a number of years that they don't have the talent, drive or chemistry to compete. With the exception of Kyle, their starting pitching staff is a joke. There are no other starters that gives the team in the field any confidence. Unless they hit their spots 100% of the...
