I will continue to say it, Mitch will be successful with another team just like Alex Smith and Ryan Tannehill were later in their careers.
Highly athletic QB's who through experience and coaching, gain the acumen to play at a higher level.
You can look at the entire offensive coaching staff just on paper without knowing any context and say either two things:
1. The Bears missed the boat on bigger hires and/or they didn't want to come here
or
2. Our new HC meticulously selected some of the bright young minds of the NFL and...
The list of coaching candidates is meh.
The best is Daboll. Offensive guy, a mountain of experience despite his age under the likes of Belicheck, Saban, Romeo Crennel and Eric Mangini.
The next best is Leslie Frazier. Same as above but a defensive guy. Would need a strong coordinator.
I am hoping that Fields absolutely dominates training camp and pre-season to the point where he gets the start ala Russell Wilson in Seattle.
Chances are that Dalton starts though and we see Fields mid-late in year.
To go from #20 > #4 is a big task.
KC recently went from 27 > 10. They gave up 2 1sts and a 3rd.
My thoughts on the Bears offer -
- #20 overall pick
- 2021 3rd round pick
- 2021 4th round pick
- 2022 1st round pick
- 2022 3rd round pick
I would assume that would be the most it would cost...
Everyone gets a bit antsy when they hear back injury but he had the microdiscectomy surgery which is actually quite simple and common these days - I have a background in sports injury rehabilitation. If you are willing to take a conservative approach with him in his first year, he could be a...
That's what was said about Smith and Tannehill. Great athletes at the QB position but couldn't process the game.
As you get reps, even as a backup that will naturally develop with time. He is an athletic QB with an above average winning percentage and his stats on glance (while skewed)...

I don’t care about Sam Smith’s hot take with the Pippen comparison but I do like the way AK talked about PWill.
Lot's of talk around Patrick Williams.
- Long and athletic 3/4
- Can handle the ball a little bit, scored a bit out of the P & R.
- He is a good team defender and high effort guy - don't think he as good in isolation as some might think.
- Good on the boards.
- Not a great shooter but have to...
Done a little more reading and watching.
Killian Hayes, unless somebody drops, sounds like and looks like he should be the pick.
Smooth, crafty lefty. Can create for others and himself. Has got a James Harden-Manu Ginobilli feel to his game.
He has shown indicators that he could grow into...
