  1. ESPN Insider Trade Grade: Bears D+

I don't think it was simply just about "doing right" by Fields. In the context of how things unfolded in the market for Fields, things went about as bad as you could conceive for the Bears. Practically every team that was projected to look for a QB went elsewhere, namely Atlanta and Vegas...
  2. ESPN Insider Trade Grade: Bears D+

How did Poles "flub this"? He didn't draft Fields. He gave him a shot and didn't improve enough to convince him that he's the guy moving forward. His value is his value, and Poles can't control that. Just have to hope that Poles pick for the franchise QB is better than Pace's two.
  3. OT: are OL and DL important?

Goff, Purdy and Jackson aren't elite QBs. They are good ones with good/great support around them. It's simply impractical to assume you have the next Pat Mahomes. The Chiefs built around the QB, and Mahomes transcended that talent beyond their imagination. We can only hope that the Bears do...
  4. Chiefs beating Ravens seals Justin Fields' fate.

Yep. People overlook the fact that despite Mahomes and the offense take up a huge amount of the headlines, the defense is the centerpiece of this year's Chiefs squad. They are elite.
  5. Chiefs beating Ravens seals Justin Fields' fate.

This is ungodly stupid. Nobody is expecting Fields to be the Mahomes for the Bears, or even close to that. But Jackson was far from the only issue today for Baltimore. People who brushed off the ridiculous amount of penalties from the Ravens are being seriously dense. While the Ravens...
  6. Seahawks reporter has concerning things to say about Shane Waldron on Hoge & Jahns

This is the thing for me. Waldron had subpar offensive talent and made it at least passable, sometimes good. Getsy wasn't able to elevate the talent on offense and oftentimes, hindered their talent. So instead of exceeding the talent, he would keep things the same, if not make them worse.
  7. Can the unthinkable happen? Packers versus Lions

The Niners defense is A LOT better than the Cowboys. And they don't have a QB who implodes regularly in the playoffs.
  8. Can the unthinkable happen? Packers versus Lions

San Fran is going to rout the Packers. Unlike the Cowboys, they are actually well coached and have a QB who doesn't crater when playoff time rolls around. Keep in mind, this Niners squad obliterated the Cowboys 42-10, and it wasn't like the Cowboys didn't see them coming. That was a game...
  9. Why D-Line might be more important than QB at this point.

Yep, for all the accolades Love is receiving, the Packers OL has been insanely good at protecting him, especially in the latter half of the season, and his receivers have developed into real threats. Meanwhile, the interior of the Bears OL is a turnstile. That isn't going to get things done...
  10. ***OFFICAIL*** NFL Wildcard P-OFF Weekend: Climate Change Edition (STEELERS @ BILLS - MONDAY 3:30PM) IGT

Crazy what happens when you have a halfway competent play caller and a line that isn't doing their best impression of a turnstile.
  11. The deafening silence coming out of Halas Hall

Why would it be up to ownership who they decide to be head coach, instead of the guy you hired to make these decisions in the first place? That's completely bassackwards. Why hire Warren at all if you're not letting him do his fucking job?
  12. LT Ronnie Stanley likely done in Balitmore

A Pro-Bowl caliber LT who has had issues staying healthy joining the Bears?
  13. Black Monday

This. It's Flus' staff and what they do is a reflection on him as a head coach. And that reflection is uglier than a pile of dogshit. I'm past giving coaches who have not succeeded a 2nd chance after failing to bring a competent staff over in the first place. It's one thing to fail one...
  14. Black Monday

I don't care about year to year. I want to look at this team from this point and ask, are they better than where they were in week 1. They aren't. The offense continues to look completely inept, and for all the progress made defensively, Flus still got out-coached by LaFleur. Despite giving up...
  15. Anyone wonder if Green Bay gave Getsy a landing spot in exchange for what he put out there yesterday?

Nah. I think he just found the one franchise stupid enough to think he was worth running an offense at this level.
