With what is available on the board, Vernon is a 'no brainer'. He's a better overall CB than any other player in this draft (including Ramsey if you consider him a CB).

Anything is possible, he has his own history working against him though.

Definitely, Jones can be an impact player in this defense. And it would be nice if Bostic was to suddenly have the light go on and be able to put his athleticism next to Christian but I doubt it ever happens.

I believe Cooper falls out of the top 10 and White goes before he does. Williams, Fowler and Beasley will all go off the board before 7. Chicago is in an interesting spot for taking an edge rusher. I don't believe the value at that position will still be there at 7.

That's fair. I disagree on Waynes value but this is the best time of year for disagreement.

Nah, I follow a lot of different writers. Some are more accurate then others. Do you really believe the Bears are going to draft Danny Shelton at 7 like a lot of analysts are claiming?

I cannot see the Bears taking Mariota at 7, there are simply too many question marks for Marcus and with his pro day being suspect he will slide down some boards (see Bridgewater).

The most recent realistic mock I have seen has the Bears taking Trae Waynes (CB - Michigan State) with the 7th pick.
