If MHJ turns into Jefferson...is it? Lets say #9 would've been Jared Verse and next year's #16 turns out to be an average #16 overall pick....
I'd take MHJ all day over that.
If we got MHJ- I'd think 9-8 is reasonable to obtain next year. 9-8 this year got picks 14-18. Would I deal #9 this year and #16 next year to get MHJ this year? In a second.
#9 & '25 1st would be a no brainer to move up to 4 or 5 if MHJ was still there and it could be had.
Good post. For now- I'd say no, but that can change.
If the Bears don't start well he'll absolutely be on the hot seat. Going 7-10 last year and being the first team to lose 2 games after leading by double digits in the 4th quarter (they blew 3 in 11 weeks)...shouldn't sit well with anyone...
I think he's the best. I also think he's the most dynamic...you can line him up anywhere and he can beat in a variety of ways. He can blow by you...finesse by you (spin, swim) or ask Lane Johnson...he can bull rush the strongest T into the QBs lap in a second.
Guy has it all.
So which is it? They're tired of him or they can't afford him? They still have two years of control of him and are still AT LEAST a year out from exploring whether they can afford him or not.
I mean its a nice thought/exorcise...as long as we understand Dallas trading him prior to this draft...
If Flus wouldn't be able to make it work with Parsons he should be run out of football forever. Parsons across from Sweat would be crazy and well worth the cap allocation.
With that said Dallas would be high on drugs to trade him and would regret that forever- they won't deal him. I don't...
Only way I'd flip '25 1st is if it were to move up and grab MHJ at 5.
I could see the Bears flip Panthers '25 2nd and 75 to move up to 44 at the Raiders (especially if Raiders miss out on a QB early). That trade would work for both teams as Raiders may need to load up on assets to be sure they...
Per Snyder he's 5th in catch rate (least amount of drops per catch, 50 min catches) in this class. I'd have to watch more punt returns to vouch for his punt catch ability, but considering his hands and run after the catch ability (he was a running back several years ago at around 6ypc)...he'd...
EJ Snyder touched on his pod today....and I was excited he did.
I don't have any idea what picks we'll have by the end of the draft or what we do at #9, but no matter what- I'd be thrilled with this guy at #122.
