Mine was working for Cutco. For those who dont know it's the mofos going door to door selling knives. It's even worse during the summer in Georgia.
Did you sell any knives?

Anything dealing with the public really. The worst had to be a pizza place. I had lost my previous job after getting into it with the manager and just needed something to make my monthly car payment, so I signed on to this pizza place. I got paid $6 an hour to sweat in a hot ass kitchen with a bi-polar boss. They used to get so mad at me for telling them I was only doing $6 an hour worth of work. When I quit, they tried holding my last check, which was a whopping $43, to force me to come back when the owner was there, like I was somehow scared. Then, the fucking check bounced when I cashed it. So i had to call up my bank to get the fee returned for the check bouncing, and had to take the check to bank that issued it. What a PITA.

I remember they almost got me when I was in high school. I'll never forget dodging that bullet.

When my daughter was born in 1980, we needed extra mony. I already had a 50 hour/week job. I took a part time job delivering lost luggage by the airlines from 9pm till 3am. I had to deliver in the middle of the night to the worst areas on the south and west side. I only received a $1 tip in all that time

When I first graduated college I was having a hard time finding a job. So I took a position with an insurance company. My job was to cold call elderly people and pretend I wanted to set up a free information session in their homes for medicare. In reality, the purpose of the "information session" was so an insurance agent could push long term care insurance, term and whole life insurance, and annuities. I lasted 8 business days of which 5 were considered training. The place was such a joke that one day the office manager gave the office a presentation using a very old and spyware/virus infected computed. Within moments of the guy turning on the computer pornographic popups started appearing on the screen. Awful place.

Working as a packer at US Spice Mills.

Not so much the job itself, but the fact that I always left there smelling like some weird combination of garlic salt and BBQ potato chips. My car smelled like that for over a month after I quit.

I still can't eat BBQ chips.

As a young electrician, I was sent to work on the southside (I live northwest) in a plant the flame-proofs cloth. The stench from those chemicals was horrendous. I had to bring a change of clothes everyday and change before I got in the car. Put the worn clothes in a plastic bag in the trunk.
Then had to shower immediately after I got home.
I can still remember that stench many years later.

Lawn care job I had out of college. Although I admit, I have not had any horrible jobs. And even this job wasn't bad, atleast the actually activity of driving the van to peoples yards all day with no supervision. What made it bad though was the manager was a raging douche. Not the fact that their metrics goals for how much you were supposed to accomplish per week was ridiculously unrealistic. Or the fact that certain people they played favorites with and gave the easy stuff to. It was that every time I saw this dude, I had to fight every ounce of integrity I had to punch him in the face.

Same here except I was 15 and it was my first job. Made 5.25/hr. I remember my first paycheck after my first week of work was around $150. I was dead ass tired from carrying a weed trimmer around all week lol. I don't mind doing lawn care and landscaping, but for fucking $5.25 that was pretty brutal work.

Edit: Also, detasseling corn and bailing hay. Fucking miserable.

I liked detasseling corn.

My worst was a night stocking job in a grocery store. Could've been an ok job, but I was stuck on the chemical aisle and the dog food aisle with the stinkiest motherfucker in the world. Also my boss was a miserable prick that was stuck doing that job cause he was union and had zero chance of making 20 bucks an hour at any other job. I made it a month. Also I made less than minimum wage.... Thanks union.
