I mean it obviously can't be ruled out and he might even be a little pissed if he doesn't get an extension before the season is over and sign elsewhere out of spite but we do have the tag we can throw on him.

How many good years does he have left? 26 going on 27 in August.. maybe 3-4? 60% of peak production is 25-29, seems like we shouldn't lock him up too long. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy but 2-3yr contract max.
