****You you are triggered by the '85 Bears do not watch the interview.****

I ran across a McMahon interview on a golf podcast where he's downing some Coors Lights and talking about his career. I'm not thru it all yet, but he has some good stories about how he got to BYU, and how he broke his neck in a season finale against the Vikings and didn't know it until years later. He claims he had numbness in his legs, but never got it checked out because the season was over. I posted a Jay Cutler interview a few weeks ago where he was frank about his playing days, if you liked that, this is pretty good too.

Wow. If Baltimore wasn't that cheap or Jim had a different agent, We may have had Art Schlichter instead.
?

Great listen. Thanks.

That was crazy about Belichick in Cleveland. Supposedly, he told McMahon he was getting cut, but he wanted him to stay in Cleveland in case they needed to pick up him later in the season. I guess teams used to pay guys cash to hang around just in case. Jim says he never got paid for that. Moved his whole family to Cleveland and never got paid.

He calls Belichick a lying ass.

and cheater. Can't do that shit to skirt a cap anyway. Of course, they ultimately didn't by lying out their asses.

Anybody not laughing their ass off at his stories has a huge bug up theirs. Must see.

I like McMahon, I really do, but at 61 it seems like he's still drinking like a 20 year old.

That part is a little sad to see. I know he's had a lot of injuries, but he claims to possibly have CTE, brain issues, memory loss. Those symptoms could be the same with 40 years of chronic drinking. I think he sued the NFL too.

I guess but I don't think it's the alcohol that will be his demise so why not?

Of course he can do what he wants and I'm not judging him.

For me, it's just a little sad to see guys that peaked in their 20s, made all their money young, and now drinking is a big part of their life because they don't have to work anymore.

I'm not saying everyone has to be like Charles Tillman, but he's the antithesis to Jim McMahon. Something tells me Tillman's daily routine won't revolve around beer when he's in his late 50s early 60s.

What insight!!!

A guy reached his physical peak in his 20's???? Shocking stuff!!!

If you were were drunk when you posted this drivel it would be somewhat excusable.

No reason for pearl clutching. Just saying imo it's a little bit sad.

An old guy is a little bit sad? We should have a long discussion all about it!!!

So what if he drinks a lot. He also smokes lots of weed. If it helps him get through the day and he has had many rough ones since he retired, due to CTE, then so be it

He seems to do really well for someone that has been diagnosed with some CTE besides all the physical stuff. Bet he wishes he didn't head butt the entire offense every TD.

He controls himself and isn’t arrested every other week so who gives a f. He’s a retired man. Let him chill out however he sees fit.

100%

As a kid he spoke up and was called a rebel and a loose cannon. He spoke his mind and the media wanted to paint his as a punk, it was the 80's.

Turns out he is just a normal average guy, sorry. He is also a big part of the Bears Super Bowl team, so thanks Mac.

I never knew Vince McMahon had a connection to the Bears. Cool!
