I know they like to wait til after the season is over but how has that worked out for them? We started 5-1 and are now 5-6 after getting embarrassed again to our arch rivals on national television. Maybe they are waiting nagy to win out right and go 10-6 like lovie smith then fire him. I just dont know what it takes to get people canned for not being good at their jobs.

I can wait five more weeks not like I have been investing any time anymore watching the games anyways. But I really think cause of covid it will be status quo @Halas hall. Chicago has enough of the lovable loser faction of fans that they don’t need to make bold moves to stay afloat

Once again, what’s the point? The same morons that have done the hiring since they got rid of Finks, Vainisi, and Ditka will still be hiring the next bunch.
lather, rinse, repeat.....

Meh.

You can blame George Halas for losing Jim Finks. The old man went behind Finks' back to hire Mike Ditka, which never sat well with Finks and he left to take a job with the Cubs.

Vainsi did little of note other than talk the team out of having cheerleaders and it was the right time to move on from Mike Ditka. May have been the only right move Little Mikey ever made.

Yeah, but look at the results since then......

i'd rather they keep these idiots till the end of the season to get a somewhat higher pick...firing them now means the team will play better giving us a shittier pick

I have 3 thoughts.

1. The McCaskeys don't plan to fire Pace/Nagy with another year left on their deal.
2. Have the McCaskeys ever fired someone mid-season?
3. Maybe they are already planning on cutting ties with Pace and would like the new GM's input on Nagy

If this doesn't improve, it may be another house cleaning. Who do you fire, Nagy alone right now? I could see it but it would only be a vindictive move without some sort of immediate mitigation which is near impossible. Only thing it might accomplish is more losses and a QB in the draft and I don't see Pace throwing in the towel with his gig on the line.

This seems the most reasonable scenario.....

Robert quinn isn't being used to his full potential why were the bears rushing 3 lineman and playing 3-4 more than usual we should of employed a nickel base against the Packers with Mario edwards and bilal nichols... Let quinn do what quinn doo and Mack will do what he do. Danny trevathan has no reason to see the field ever....

The last one is a joke, pace has done more good for this team apart from hiring nagy and missing on a QB. Who the hell knew after the 2018 season nagy would turn the ship upside down things looked like they were going up... Ravens, steelers and pats typically do the best off-season work. Maybe pace and nagy actually stay and nagy gets input on a QB this time. But I doubt it by the way this team is responding.

Because they like to wait.

Arch rivals? Not anymore man. GB probably looks at the Bears like the Bears look at Detroit. There's no rivalry when you never win. Also, the league is so transient now that players grab ass and high five between plays. They don't hate one another.

I'm a Terp fan and we HATED Duke but they never considered us a rivalry. They had UNC to fight off.

Is this a joke? Those are the most important things.

Pace has one measly playoff appearance in 6 years. Has completely whiffed on all of his top 10 picks besides 1 (Roquan). Bears cap situation is also awful. Pace has created a dumpster fire.

QB is the most important part of any team. Pace shit the bed as much as you can with Trubisky. 13 career starts at UNC and he didn't light the ACC on fire. Then we trade up against ourselves to draft him #2.

That total fuck up is greater than any perceived good you think he has done for the Bears. That move single handedly fucked this franchise for years.

I can't speak for anyone else but I was never sold on Mitch's performance, this team had house of cards written all over it. Pace is absolutely responsible for where they're at today. He built this team lol.

I seem to remember our "arch rival" firing it's head coach just a couple of years ago with three or four games left in the season, and it seemed to work out okay for them. More recently, another division rival (the Lions) fired both the GM and HC just before they were scheduled to play our team. The thing both of those fired HC's had in common was that they have a Super Bowl ring.....McCarthy as a head coach and Patricia as a defensive coordinator. It may have bought them some time, but eventually enough was enough and somebody pulled the trigger.

Nagy has far less impressive credentials, his big claim to fame being a "Coach of the Year" award.....And yet, week after week of an ongoing dumpster fire, nothing from the "brain trust" at Halas Hall.

Hello? Anybody home?
