No idea till he plays NFL football. Sometimes what you see in college doesn't translate to pro ball....other times, like with Brady the player is actually better in the NFL. I think it'll be at least one season, maybe two before we know what the Bears have with him. He sure looks like the real deal to me but we'll see.....

You’re correct, he’s nothing like Kap. One had a career 58% completion percentage in the WAC. Another had a 68% completion percentage in the Big 10. Fields is much more accomplished as a thrower and faster as a runner.

Right, again not comparing them as players. I just think it's possible Fields has a similar career. I don't think it's probable, but possible.

What I find funny is that with the exception of 2 posters in this thread every single poster only spoke about black QB comparisons. Why is that? I think he is 10 better than Mitch Trubisky from day one and his ceiling is yet to be determined.

Sorry I was trying to do comps and couldn't find many white QBs who where 6'3" 230 and ran a sub 4.45.

I would say his floor is 2018 Trubisky ie slightly above average QB that uses his feet to keep drives alive and is an inconsistent passer but good enough to get the job down against the non-elite teams.

Here...let me help.

Tom Brady Jared Goff Ryan Tannehill Carson Wentz Philip Rivers and many more. Maybe not as fast but height and weight yes. So I call bullshit.

Exactly.

I said Fields & Lawrence were the only real NFL QBs in this draft. I'm pumped about the pick.

But let's be real. Fields could be like Mitch. He's an inch taller, 2 tenths of a second faster, and maybe has 10lbs on him.

We don't know shit until we see him play.

Justin Fields is a high floor guy, I'll say his floor is rookie year Kyler Murray.

If the floor is an MVP sign me up. I'm guessing he means if the passing doesn't quite pan out, rather than a direct playstyle comparison?

I'm hoping Fields is some combo of recent athletic QBs we've seen like Wilson, Rodgers, Watson, Murray. Passers that just happen to be able to run, but it's probably a pie-in-the-sky ask, definitely don't want to get my hopes too high. Sippin the koolaid here, but how JF lays that deep ball out there in a spot definitely gives me shades of DangeRuss.
But thats exactly what JF is. A guy who is a great passer who is able to run. YOuve obviously not seen him play. The dude makes absolutely incredible throws. Anyone that questions his throwing ability is lying to you.
