My condo association appealed our taxes en mass.... mine are really fucking low right now.

I believe they said there were rich people in Central Illinois that could afford to pay more.

We had our real estate atty try to get ours lowered on the new place.
Saved us 7600 per year... that was over half what the taxes were.
His bill for doing so was half the savings of one year.
He made a cool 3800 for filing a letter that was immediately accepted.
Win win.
