He was totally retiring and we had all sorts of ideas of how to spend his salary and recoup his signing bonus. I hate it when good players are for certain going to retire because they skipped an offseason powwow only to not retire.

I literally don't think he "missed" it figuratively because it was definitely intentional as the coach and he had talked about it while it was going on so I think he did not "miss" it at all but rather in fact literally SKIPPED it. He is a grown man!!

My expectations after missing a year and doing who knows what for training since he hasn't been with the team he pulls a hamstring or some other soft tissue injury early on. And is hobbled and limited most of the year.

This is GREAT news. Having a healthy Hicks and Goldman on the field with the current personel is the difference between this defense being a good defense without one or the other, & a smothering defense like they were in 2018 with both on the field.

2019 season was his worse year as a pro. Now a whole season off and 2 years older. Some on here think he’s a savior. I’m not far into the mud on Goldman.

Goldman will make Roquan more complete since his biggest issue is shedding blocks. No need for Eddie to make many plays at that position, just keep the Lbs clean and hold better control of the los than in ‘20.
