Very cool. All that danger couldn’t even help produce better numbers than tribusky the last 3 years. Maybe he should just chill and read a book

Dunno. What dance moves do you think he would have contributed to the superbowl shuffle?
He’s not off the hot seat, or at least he shouldn’t be.if Nagy plays Fields and the kid struggles I think Nagy is back on the hot seat he has to be careful
I read it all without entering an email, so no clue what he's talking about. My bad I just copied the link from Facebook where I didn't have to give extra info for the article access
Why are you so fixated on starting Dalton week 1?i’ll never understand why Bears fans are so fixated on Fields starting week 1. have some patience, it’s not the worst quality a person can have.
Fields with his mobility will make any OL look better over the limited Dalton. You actually want Fields to play asap so the rookie mistakes he will make he can learn from early in the season.Oh, so you don't want to put Fields out there till the O-line is perfect so he doesn't get hurt. Even fucking more stupid.
you like to put words in people’s mouths don’t you?Oh, so you don't want to put Fields out there till the O-line is perfect so he doesn't get hurt. Even fucking more stupid.
because he’s going against the best defense in football week 1 in prime time with a bad offensive line. Why are you so fixated on starting Dalton week 1?
Bears will finish 18th offensively and Nagy will cite improvement and how it’s a process lol…I seriously hope I’m wrong because coaching stability is especially important for young QBs. Ideally Nagy learns, improves and could stick and grow with fields. That said, that’s not very realistic and the last thing you want is a subpar coach developing the franchiseHe’s not off the hot seat, or at least he shouldn’t be.
Who we play is irrelevant it should be about us, our preparation and what we are trying to accomplish as a team and franchise ,because he’s going against the best defense in football week 1 in prime time with a bad offensive line.
there’s also something to be said for watching a professional 10 year QB prepare for a start.
you also can’t go back to dalton, unless you want the media and fans to blow this up, you can’t go back to fields after dalton. it will be perceived as the front office losing faith in Fields.
It was a different NFL back in 85. Very few QB's that could make plays consistently with their legs.....mostly just arms back then. There were a few.....Cunningham, Young and Elway. McMahon to a lesser extent.Cunningham didn't even beat out Jaworski and Young couldn't beat out Steve DeBerg....that alone shows you what the league was like at that tme.Do you think fields would have started week 1 for the 85 bears?
i could care less about the last 40 years, if you could stomach that you can stomach 4 more weeks. this is about the future not the past.Who we play is irrelevant it should be about us, our preparation and what we are trying to accomplish as a team and franchise ,
Andy Dalton was not the answer to any of the Bears problems on March 15 when he was signed and13 weeks later he still is not . Prior to that time the Bears did not have a starting qb and us drafting Fields was us making a move for a starting qb .
Weve already gone to Fields that happened the moment they read his name at the podium .The real question is how many wasted snaps and how much wasted energy are the Bears coaches going to put into Dalton before they are fired because what you are clamoring for is a continuation of the same crap the Bears have been doing for the past 40 years .
Just because the Rams were #1 last year does that mean they will be in the same position this year? They did lose four defensive starters from last year and a rush specialist. Plus their biggest defensive loss could be Staley the DC that transformed this unit from #17 in 2019 to #1 in 2020.because he’s going against the best defense in football week 1 in prime time with a bad offensive line.

I don’t think that’s correct but who knows? The article actually talks about it being a charade that they aren't starting him simply because they told Dalton he'd start when he signed. And they think he'll come in week 2 after halftime against the Bengals. So they clearly think it is dumb too
Extra game.SI seriously dissing Mooney and Monty by saying it’s slim production beyond ARob.
Obviously we still need to see what our acquisitions at WR contribute but I like our skill positions—specifically deep speed—a lot more this year.
Also they think success for Lawrence is 4200 yards and Wilson is 3900? Lmao. Only 4 guys have cleared 3900 all time as rookies.
I disagree. Wont repeat but my thoughts on it are in the build in draft thread. I think nothing ruins Fields but he’ll be further along faster if he dits a bit.Just because the Rams were #1 last year does that mean they will be in the same position this year? A nine year starter and a backup last year to be accurate. At this stage of his career he is a true backup. You learn nothing from the bench.
Unless Fields had an injury that would not be the case anyway. He will make mistakes, but the good ones, the great ones learn from those mistakes.
Yeah, I know that but these were the two worst teams in the league last year. I think Lawrence and Wilson will be lucky to get to game 17.Extra game.
once you go to Fields you can’t go back. don’t be so short sighted and frankly stupid. there is something to be said for taking some time and being responsible as an organization and using your crash dummies to make sure this is a situation that is good enough for Fields. This is an opportunity the Bears won’t have again for a long time, they should take caution to make sure they don’t fuck it up.
