Wait, I thought the Packers were only paying Aaron "the greedy diva" a ton of money, and thus can't pay or keep any other great players because of it. Isn't that more of a "disadvantage."?

You are indeed the Bears and not the Pack as you say. The Bears still suck, and it's not because of their cap situation as you try to imply here.

I know it upsets you to hear facts, but if you crave only delusional fanboy chatter about your Bears, then you can choose to just scroll past my comments. I am not forcing you to read the reality of the situation.

The reality of the situation is your team is absolute trash without Rodgers, one of the most putrid offenses in the NFL, even worse than Chicagos. You better hope he holds up or your team wastes another year of his prime. That is the real reality check, bub.

Packer fans love to talk a huge game, but 30 straight years of Hall of Fame QB play has spoiled you brats, and that is not likely to continue. Here's to many decades of you suffering. The odds are in our favor going forward. Not this season, but every time your overrated ass team fails (oh and it happens often, doesn't it?) it's a joyous occasion I bank on every single postseason.

Starion had implied that the Bears cap situation is a major disadvantage for them while facing other teams. I guess to him other teams don't have to deal with the cap like the Bears do. His post was delusional enough that I thought it warranted a factual reply. The point is that the cap has nothing to do with the Bears sucking, as he implied it does in his comment. Acting as if it's not fair the Bears have to play teams when the Bears are so much more disadvantaged with their cap situation. Complete hogwash.

You say you are fully aware the Bears suck. Good. Then I won't need to correct you like I did Starion.

The Packers have won 2 Super Bowls and been to 3 since 1996. You act as if a team that has a HOF QB they then should win the Super Bowl multiple times every decade. How many HOF QBs have no Super Bowl wins or just one? A lot. Why don't you say the Saints are failures for just one Super Bowl in Drew Brees career? Just one example of many.

I am glad you think so highly of the Packers and expect them to win the Super Bowl every year, but your expectations are a little unrealistic.

The team indeed has unfinished business to handle this year. Stay tuned,(I know you will) because your expectations for the Pack have a very good chance of becoming reality again this season.
This is a rather cute way to cope for some hard truths about your football team.

It's not even so much the fact that they can only account for 2 SB wins during the span of HOF QB play but a deeper look on how they actually got there is what should be unacceptable by anyone standards.

Since 2008 no team in the NFC has held the no.1 seed more (3)

The Packers now go down as the team with the most regular-season wins in a 3-year span (39) without a Super Bowl appearance.

Then there's the one and dones.

It's one thing to not win the SB or even getting bounced by a relatively evenly matched team in the conference championship game. But for a team that is generally a perpetual solid favorite come playoff time they simply don't deliver the goods.

Bears salary cap breakdown entering 2022 season

2nd most dead cap ($52.88 mil)
+
currently 6th most available cap space ($15.87 mil)

This means they are paying their current active roster the least of all 32 teams and it's far from normal operating procedure or even close to an active roster payroll of other teams they'll be facing on any gameday.

Things will change a little with Brisker & Gordon yet to sign and they could end up cutting a few guys to offset some of that from the avail cap space.

Any success or even improvement this season despite this disadvantage should speak volumes for the new coaches and Poles' moves during a massive economic shift in payroll vs talent on the field.
Remember when Cliff Stein was in charge and they didn't ever have a problem like this? Yeah, Pace brought in his own cap guy and now we're in this mess.

Meanwhile Poles just put Stein back in charge. This will be fixed starting next year.

The moment Bears fans realize that when they are attempting to cut down other teams and fan bases they are reflecting on their own insecurities and really only talking about themselves.

I mean, it is what it is. We talk shit about this team ad nauseum.

When some fan from another fanbase wants to mark their superiority when ultimately they're not in that much greater of a situation, yeah, I'd expect some backlash. Enjoy the one and done. Psych 201.

They are. Especially since Payton is 10 times the coach fat boy McCarthy or LeFleur are.

If you go to the Packers boards and even start to say how they only have 2 SB wins over 30 years of HOF QB play they ban you in 15 seconds because they can't accept the truth.....

Mention the choke to SF at home last year and they really start to cry.

Sorry, but you have zero clue what you are talking about. Perhaps you don't understand dead money. Dead Money is the cap charge(cap hits) for players that are no longer on the roster. That is all already factored in the cap and also in the amount of cap space the Bears have which is 22 million at present according to OTC. The Packers have 17 million in cap space.

Not sure why the first tactic with Bears fans when confronted with facts is to lash out and try and call people names. I realize me being a part of PackerNation triggers all of you, but get over it. I am around several Bears fans every season at Lambeau for the Bears game weekend and never have been called a name to my face. I get along splendidly with actual Bears fans. Wonder why real Bears fans are so friendly and cordial in person and here they lash out and call names? Feel safe and tough hiding behind a screen? That is quite pathetic and sad.

It may very well be mental illness, if that is the case, then I hope those of that need it do seek out the help they so obviously need. Severe mental illness is nothing to leave unchecked or joked about. I am certainly not joking when I say I hope those that need it do indeed seek the help they need.

Wish you the best. Looking forward to week 2 at Lambeau. Will surely see a few Bears fans visiting Titletown and loving it as they always do.
Looking at your member picture, I'm thinking Aaron needs to upgrade his choice of razors!

Man, 1 Superbowl win with Rodgers and that was 12 years ago. I can't imagine that... And somehow, that means a Packers fan is proud enough to come to a Bears forum and talk shit. I know expectations in Green Bay are low across the board but come on, have a little self respect.

Notice how I never attacked anyone personally nor called anyone a "idiot", "stupid" or a "douche bag" etc. A person loses all credibility and respect when they lob personal attacks while hiding behind a screen. How cowardly is that? To feel the need to resort to those levels because of years of being hurt at the hands of the Packers. It's ok to say you hate the Packers, I even welcome you to say they suck if you choose. But to attack Packers fans personally is only embarrassing yourselves. Some of you are better than that.

Again, I know many great actual Bears fans. I even shared some of the content here on a Zoom call with several fantastic NFL fans, including a few Bears fans. They ALL immediately discounted this forum as not a representation of Bears fans as a whole in "Any Way" shape or form. I said pretty much the same here in another thread a few days ago, which I also showed them. And I was attacked here and called names for even that. "Pathetic" at the very best is what you present yourselves as. And that is what you are viewed as by lifelong Chicago Bears fans. Bears fans that have forgot more about the Bears than any of you will ever know about the franchise.

I still welcome actual Bears fans to Titletown for the Bears vs. Packers for a full weekend of fun and frolic in week 2. Many here would soil themselves and get in the fetal if you saw who I actually am. This isn't a forum I would feel comfortable sharing personal information on. That ship sailed within the first 2 minutes of reading this forum. Too funny.

Looking forward to a great NFL season. Wish the Bears luck except for 2 games of course. I have no ill will towards the Bears whatsoever, nor any towards their fans.
