Other than 3 QBs, you look solid. I see Sanborn as a SLB, not an MLB, but that’s a minor quibble.

Honestly, part of me was thinking Gates at WLB, Roquon at MLB, and Morrow at SLB.

Part of me also thought of Kamara to DT, Snowden to DE, and Caleb Johnson at SLB, cutting Pennel.

You forgot Blackson. Snowden doesn't play off ball. Gates won't make it. Peterman won't make it. Coleman is a tackle and won't make it. D-T probably won't make it. You left off Edwards. Pettis will make it ahead of Webster. Tonges won't make it. Cruikshank will make it. A. Thomas won't make it. Z. Thomas probably won't make it. Oshaunessy will make it ahead of Allen.

Finally you have 57 players on this 53 man roster (in a thread you titled '53 man roster').

I'm honestly surprised he didn't put Faalele in the roster somewhere. Maybe as a 58th guy to round out the 53 man roster

I dont think Duke Shelley makes it. I think they probably keep Lamar Jackson. I also think they need to keep another DT (Coley, Dew-Treadway).

You're right, I missed one of the position groups when I was adding.

Drop Peterman, Webster, Z. Thomas and A.J. Thomas.
Adjusting some DL/LB names,

QBs (2): Fields, Siemiam
RBs (3): Montgomery, Herbert, Ebner
FB (1): Blasingame
WRs (6): Mooney, St. Brown, V. Jones, Pringle, Sharpe, Coulter
TEs (4): Kmet, Griffin, Allen, Tonges
OTs (4): B. Jones, Borom, Reiff, Coleman
OGs (3): Jenkins, Whitehair, Carter
Cs (2): Patrick, Mustipher
25 on offense

DEs (5): Quinn, Gipson, Muhammed, D. Robinson, Snowden
DTs (4): Tonga, Jones, Dew-Treadway, Kamara
WLBs (2): Gates, Sanborn
MLBs (2): Smith, C. Johnson
SLBs (3): Morrow, Adams, J. Thomas
CBs (5): J. Johnson, Gordon, T. Graham, Vildor, Young
SSs (2): Brisker, Houston-Carson
FSs (2): Jackson, Hicks
25

K (1): Santos
P (1): Gill
LS (1): Scales
3 on special teams

practice squad:
QB Peterman
WR Webster
OL Z. Thomas
DB A. Thomas
TE O'Shoughnessy
DB Stroman
OL Delance
DB D. Harris
DB L. Jackson
WR Sharpe
WR Pettis
OL Simmons
OL Dublin

I like Allen and Tonges better than O'Shoughnessey, really didn't feel impressed by Blackson and Edwards (and again, want to see what Snowden can do - I think he's a Gipson-level find). I'll admit, Coulter's keeping a roster spot warm until Henry comes back.

Now, I'll put Roquon at MLB, because he is the heir to Butkus, Singletary, and Urlacher in the pantheon of great Bears LBs, and those greats are at the Mike spot. Morrow is at SLB, largely because he has the size.

Gates is 221(!) pounds, but he's played well, fourth in tackles behind Sanborn, D. Harris, and Joe Thomas. He flashed some pass-rush skills, which could be intriguing at the Will spot (especially if there's no TE to block him).

QB: Fields, Siemian
RB: Monty, Herbert, Ebner, Blassingame
TE: Kmet, Griff, O'Shaunessy
WR: Mooney, ESB, Pringle, Jones, Pettis, Sharpe (Harry IR)
OL: Jones, WH, Patrick, Jenkins, Borom Reiff, Schofield, Mustipher, Carter 24

IDL: Blackson, Tonga, Jones, Edwards, Coley, someone off waivers
EDGE: Quinn, Muhammed, Gipson, Robinson
LB: Roq, Morrow, Adams, Thomas, Sanborn
CB: Johnson, Gordon, Vildor, Young, Harris, Jacklson (Graham IR)
S: Jackson, Brisker, DHC, Cruikshank, Hicks 26

Something like that. CB is tough to figure out at the end and the last EDGE and IDL maybe too.

Interesting stuff yesterday. I know you had a bunch of players that didn't play for the Bears, but here are some of the things I found interesting:

1. Webster and Pettis got time with the 1s. I know Velus and Pringle were out, as was Sharpe. But they showed good chemistry with Fields. I wonder if those guys could be WR5/6. Both have special teams value over Sharpe and a guy like Harry anyway.

2. CB still seems fluid. Lamar Jackson, Devontae Harris, Greg Stroman, and Kindle Vildor all saw time with the 1s. Granted, there was no Jaylon, but it seems like the Bears still looking for CB2, with Gordon playing exclusively in the slot so far. Graham and Young were in the running early, but neither has seen the field with 2 weeks before the Niners. I don't think you hand either guy a spot. Maybe Graham to IR to start the year. Jackson and Stroman were the outside CBs (Shelley slot) late in the game, FWIW.

3. Reiff and Schofield played with the 2s. IDC what they are saying, the starting 5 today are the starting 5 OL. I don't think either played all that great either. I think they keep both around, but I think Jenkins, Borom and Jones are Week 1 starters, set in stone.

4. Mike Pennel played with the 1s early (2nd drive). Khyiris Tonga played late into the 4th quarter, 0 snaps with the 1s. IDK if it means much, but thought it was interesting.

5. It'll be interesting to see how much this team values special teams. Like I mentioned, WR5/6 could come down to ST value. So could DB and LB. Cruikshank appears behind Hicks in the rotation, which would make him the 5th safety, but he has more ST value. LB has 2 locks (Smith, Morrow) and everyone else has shown ST value. Caleb Johnson who was one of the Bears top ST'ers last year may be the odd man out.

No need to keep a guy like Peterman. You can call a guy like him (or actually him, since he won't be on a roster) on a Tuesday if something happens to Fields during a game. Keep 2 QBs.

I don't see them keeping 7 WRs, unless they keep Harry and don't IR him.....even then, feels like 7 is a bit much. Sharpe, Coulter and Webster may all be behind Webster and Pettis as well.

Tonges was already cut, so yeah he's not making it.

Coleman and Thomas are listed at the wrong position. IDK that either makes the roster.

Snowden probably doesn't make the roster either. Blackson does. Dew-Treadway not making it either. AJ Thomas is an interesting keep

You weren't impressed by blackson and edwards who haven't played all preseason? Interesting

Coulter was the most productive of the WSR group during preseason. I question whether ESB will ever be a reliable receiver and Harry has never given evidence he will live up to his draft position. I'd find a way to keep Coulter.

I predict the initial 57 man roster the OP listed will have at least 10 guys cut/not make it......its a pretty bad attempt; starting with Peterman.
