I am waiting for one of these so called reporters to straight up asl Eberflus or Getsy why their best lineman is on the bench.
Doubt it. Feel like most Chicago media/beat guys are giant pussy's when it comes to asking direct questions like that.

That's going to be the beat writer, that will get skipped over for a few games. Their hands will be up, and Flus/Poles will pick someone else, and give a long answer, to avoid talking to anyone that puts a fire under their ass. Coaches/GMs do it all the time.

Here would be my question:

Coach........
Do you believe in the first 3 games of the season you had the BEST 5 offensive lineman starting and why.

Anyone with eyeballs.....including the misfits on this site know the answer to that is NO. So really curious to see if the HC of the Bears is straight up or just a spin meister

A journalist with a pair would go this route. It’s obvious. Flus would of course be a spinner though because how else can he justify it? He is clearly not putting the best 5 out there, and the reasons are a bit strange

You could start Jenkins at any position on the oline and it would be a marked improvement over whomever is playing there now!!!

It won’t even be close!!!

But Wednesday’s you know!!

That just has to piss off Poles/Eberflus.... I'd be willing to bet that he could learn to play Center, and be probowl level, within 5 weeks.

can you imagine if this was a contract year for Jenkins? Good Lord the Bears sure know how to mess things up. The guy has been solid for both seasons so far with the limited playing time. Not sure how true these "practice issues" are but its pretty stupid. Your job is to perform on Sunday. I see plenty of guys supposedly practicing only to underperform EVERY game day!

Patrick hasn't looked like anything to write home to about. Maybe by the bye week we should see some changes maybe at center.

I do wonder if Jenkins would want out. He doesn't really have any leverage though. They kinda are effing with him at this point. He went from 1st team LT last year (before benched for Jason Peters in a lost season) to moved to RT this year, down to 3rd team RT before pads even came on. Then he got moved to RG, learned the position in like 3 days and has been the best lineman ever since.

It feels like a motivational tactic . Like you clearly don't allow a guy to win the starting spot (even if he is rotating) if you don't believe in his ability. But I'd imagine he's pretty tired of hearing the stuff in the media. First it was undisclosed why he missed practiced, then he was on the trade block, then he doesn't practice well on Wednesdays and has to share a spot with a lesser player.

I hope they really stay objective about Jenkins and can put this BS aside. But it makes me wonder if they jumped the gun moving him away from RT. I get the whole "best 5 on the field" thing, but I hope they are in a situation next year where they have a few better guys and Jenkins can get a legit shot at RT. I think he's likely better than Borom there.

Jenkins will be a all pro guard elsewhere, while we have bums like Patrick and Whitehair
How much would it piss you off if he becomes an all pro Tackle elsewhere?
