Tier 1:

DT
Center
DE

These positions need significant investment. I expect them to be high draft picks or biggest FA signings. No way the bears can go into next year without addressing these positions.

Tier 2:

RT
WR

Bears need difference makers at these positions. They need a WR that can make plays with the ball in his hands, or someone that can consistently separate. Mooney ain’t it. I like his route running but I’ve seen many short passes or WR screens and he hasn’t been able to break any tackles or get yards. He’s a good WR but not a dynamic playmaker. They need a WR that the defense will have to be aware of and scheme for.

I rank RT in this tier but I see the bears playing themselves out of the running for the top 2 DL in the draft. If they do I hope they draft a top LT and try Jones at RT or he’s a high level swing tackle, sign a RT like Conklin.

Tier 3:

Cb
LB
LT

The bears should spend some money on a mid level LB, and I fully expect 1 to be signed on FA. That being said I think figuring out the secondary is slightly more important. Is Gordon going to be full time nickel, or can he play outside? Vildor has been serviceable but I expect a mid to late round pick, or FA at CB.

I put LT here but like I said I actually hope they address in round 1, or in FA and give Jones a shot at RT.

RB
OG

I think the bears should keep whitehair at least next year. He’s been one of the best OL on this team, and there are holes all over the place. No reason to make another hole that needs to be fixed. If they can spend on a center, I think whitehair - FA/2nd round - Jenkins is a solid interior. Depending on how the draft falls the OL could be Skoronsky- whitehair - FA - Jenkins - jones.

RB depends on what they do with Montgomery. Wouldn’t mind a 5th round addition depending on what they do with the other positions.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
Cody Whitehair on the roster next season? I don't see it at 9 million get a younger replacement like Elgton Jenkins.

DRAFT picks: Round 1) Belgian Triple, 2) German Lager, 3) Chech Pilz, 4) Juicy-hazy IPA, 5) Christmas Ales are starting to hit the shelves., 6) Ambers, Nut Browns, Porters.. and the list goes on as any trade downs occur.

Pretty much agree except at linebacker I'd like for the bears to grab one of 4 really good ones that will hit the market and solidify that position. So I'd rank it higher replacing wr with it but CB just below.

Protecting the QB is the first line of business. Fields running won’t last (injury waiting to happen). Have to be able to pass the ball for more then 150 yrds a game.

1.) OT left
2.) DT
3.) DE
4.) WR

I like your approach, but for me, I place CB in the Tier 2 and RT in Tier 3, because I like you hope that they find a LT that is good enough to allow them a chance to place Jones on the right

1A - Left Tackle
1B - 3 tech

These are self explanatory. Braxton Jones is hot garbage when he has to pass block. Don’t @ me with ‘but he can run block.’ Justin Jones I’d like to keep because he can penetrate at times but to run Flus’ defensive scheme, the 3 tech needs to dominate the B gap. He does not do that.

3 - DE. Want to see Gipson or Robinson turn something around by the end of the year and stop running into blocks before they’re taken out of the play.

4 - Center. Self explanatory. Get Sam Mustipher off my television.

5 - CB2. Wasn’t wow’d by Vildor, but he has made a couple solid plays. With lots of cash to play around with, you should be able to buy someone better than Kindle and let Gordon not look like a lost puppy playing Nickel where he was doing well enough.

6 - RT. This one can be flexed up or down depending on what happens. Riley Reiff is solid at RT, so I’m okay with bringing him back, but if he’s gone—it’ll be a need higher than 6.

7 - WR 3. Keep esb for wr4/5 and blocking specialist, but out of Pringle, Pettis, Harry, and everyone else after Mooney/Claypool could be replaced. They’re unremarkable.

8 - Mike/Will. Nick Morrow sucks and looks a lot worse without Quan. I don’t know what Sanborn will be playing full time next year, so if he keeps it up, whichever LB spot he’s not is the need.

9 - RB. This one could be no problem at all or moved higher depending on what the bears do with Monty.

Top 5

RT
hopefully it's a younger high end FA (Conklin, Brown)

C
Hopefully it's a younger high end FA

DT
desperately need a 3T

Edge
Desperately need multiple edge rushers

WR/CB
Take your pick but wr looks weak in fa and average after round 1 (with so many other holes do you want the bears to take a wr in round 1?)

Personally I want to see Leatherwood this season as I think he could solve a long term need (LG) if they've worked with him and he's gotten much better. I think he could have a T Jenkins like impact at LG but they can't NOT play him this year and go into the off season thinking he's an answer.

Let Borom/Carter/Patrick/+1 slide into depth roles as younger and inexpensive

@Hawkeye. disagrees. He said Fields is the entire offense and he doesn't need an offensive line.

Oh, you don't like it when ppl make up your takes?

So sorry!

But this one is true. And you also think it would be better if Fields loses the rest of his games.

Totally forgot you existed. Didn't you get permabanned?

1. O line, OT, C
2. WR. It makes absolutely no sense to draft a QB so high and fail to give him weapons. There should be an elite WR in round 1 and a very good one in round two.
3. D line, including DT and edge rush.
4. LB, CB
4. RB
Of course, the picks all depend on what's available in free agency (will the 100 million + cap space buy any difference makers?) and the quality of the players available.
