JSN in a Trade Down for the Bears

No, not with the OL the way it currently is. We desperately need a Tackle. The only player on the market I see as a possibility of making it a negotiable is if we sign Isaiah Wynn. We should also look to add a Center with one of the 2nds regardless of what we do with the 1st rounder. But we...

JSN in a Trade Down for the Bears

I like JSN and he could very well be the BPA, but he is a luxury at this point considering the state of our OL. Poles can't afford to pass on OL in round 1.

Best team in NFC North now?

Because he is straight trash. Built like Tarzan plays like Jane. Inaccurate and not a great decision maker. Lions just need to do what they've been doing in Rd 1. Go BPA. Keep Upgrading the defense and you might have a legitimate team

Best team in NFC North now?

I actually like what the Lions have done so far in Free Agency. Cam Sutton, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, David Montgomery, and Emmanuel Mosley are all great additions and are all on team friendly deals. If they can add two defensive playmakers in the 1st rd, they could really take a step up...

What Grade does Poles get in the Off-season(so far)?

C+ I give him a B+ on the #1 Overall Trade Free Agency has been fairly underwhelming. I give him a C- Some good value signings, but was really hoping for some impact players outside of LB. I felt like we missed the boat with a few guys and didn't do enough to help the trenches. Now we will be...

Hoping Detroit Lions Draft Jalen Carter at #6

There is video surveillance of them racing each other. There is no denying that. He admitted being next to them when the crash occurred. I'm sure the state understood that drinking likely played a large part in the wreck. That and that there is no way to prove that Carter caused the wreck in...

9th Pick Poll - Wild Scenario - DT Carter or best OT Skoronski/Johnson/Jones?

Personally, I think he is a good, not great running back and I wouldn't spend #9 on him. If Jonathan Taylor as a 2,000 yard rusher was a mid 2nd rd pick, I don't see why Bijan, a 1,500 yard rusher is worth a top 10 pick. I dont think the value is great there.

Bears lead NFL in cap space next season as well

Cant wait for the 2024 offseason mocks to start!

Hoping Detroit Lions Draft Jalen Carter at #6

It's creative PR by his legal team in my opinion. They conveniently don't mention the reports that Carter misled police about specifically where he was when the crash occurred. It's reported he initially said he was a mile away, then nearby, then admitted he was next to the car a month later on...

Hoping Detroit Lions Draft Jalen Carter at #6

All because the state does not to charge you, does not mean that you were innocent. It likely means they do not have sufficient evidence to convict you. That's it. The state will choose to settle to conserve resources and pin you down with something Also, hthe judicial system is severely broken...

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

On one hand you claim teams use the trade chart and are precise in the numbers valued and then on the other hand you overlook hundred(s) of point differentials between the chart value and actual trade. Yet, those hundreds of points represent 3rd and 4th rd picks. Those hold value. My point...

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

There are quite a few examples of teams paying more than the trade chart (2021 49ers Trey Lance, 2012 RG3 Trade, 1999 Ricky Williams Trade, 1998 Ryan Leaf) And then teams paying less than the trade chart (2016 Goff Trade, 1997 1st and 2nd pick) There is a reason why everyone wants to trade...

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

I don't see myself as overcomplicating the matter, but moreso trying to argue that it isn't as cut abd dry as some rigid number chart. McDonalds doesn't dictate the price of Big Macs as much as the market does. If no one is willing to pay the price of the Big Mac, McDonald's is stuck with it...

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

That's my point. The value of the #1 pick and really any pick fir that matter fluctuates depending on who is available and how badly a team wants the available player(s).

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

Really, you think the #1 overall this year is worth the exact same as the #1 overall last year? Are you telling me that the Jaguars passed up an opportunity to get multiple 1st and 2nd rd picks but elected to draft Travon Walker?!

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

Their record was 3-5, but its not much of a stretch to think they would have made the playoffs in a very weak NFC had they attained Moore. But I think it also makes a difference that it was not known where the Packers would pick when that trade was offered. And you add in the fact it was...

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

Yes, but it is hard to know how to value each and every pick. Though I do agree with you in thinking the biggest flaw of these type of charts is that generally they undermine the value of future picks. It's not so simple as placing a nice simple number on it. Otherwise, you would see alot more...

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

You actually raise a fair point. I'll give you that. Regardless if you agree or care about my reaction, I would argue that a majority of non-Bears related media either reacted that it was just a fair deal or were somewhat surprised the Panthers weren't raked over the coals for the #1 pick.

Report: Poles ‘gut’ told him not to trade twice in top ten of 2023 draft

I appreciate the work put into this and can see how the value is comparable when using a draft site number chart. At the end of the day, the numbers are a different to each NFL team and how they value each draft class. I would wager the #1 pick this year, with two QBs worth taking #1 is worth...

9th Pick Poll - Wild Scenario - DT Carter or best OT Skoronski/Johnson/Jones?

OT is BPA in my opinion at #9. Both Jones at Tackle or Skoronski as a Guard are the best prospects. I'd take them over any other non QB prospect other than Will Anderson. Even if we added a Tackle in FA. It wouldn't matter. They are BPA.
