Well, by all means if MHJ is a first ballet hall of famer then just use pick #1. Why trade anything.
Can always grab any ole qb at 9... I hear it is a deep qb class.
I have no clue the direction the Bears will go with 9, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings one of the Blue chip Wr drops or one of the talented DE like Verse or Latu is there... Or trade back if the offers sweet? In Poles we trust.
Hey, I'm fine either way. Having said that, Poles has shown a propensity to trade down for more picks. And as he hinted at, if some GM comes along with a deal that he finds acceptable, he will not hesitate.
Look, no one knows how Little Willy is going to play in the next few years. We will not know until he actually plays the next few years. Now having said that, the prognosticators of NFL QB prospects have told us, he's an above average talent in how he performs in college. Better than anything...
If the Bears like ANY other QB over Williams, then they would be shopping that first pick right now. The fact they are not shopping it tells you everything you need to know.
I hear you. Believe I was hearing about this sort of trade as value for pick vs. value of return for the pick. How deep in the first would require by value charts for the draft to match. Now, if a bidding war erupts between two teams like Raiders and Vikings... All bets could be off.
It is...
Ok, ok... IF MAYE is there at 9, I fully expect some team to want to jump up and grab him for picks... Hopefully, far enough back to require giving up a 2nd to do so. Raiders... Denver... I'd hate it, but yea the Vikings.
Do "teams" run as frequently as the Bears? Re look at the new OC's offense in Seattle... the majority of the between tackle runs are from under center.
