What's your top ten draft board?

I see that as less of a negative than the positives are positive.

What's your top ten draft board?

Skoronski has rare and elite lateral movement and footwork. It would seem like a giant waste to me not to play him at OT.

SB and the No.1 pick both possible.

He played in a one-read friendly offense in college and never had to read the full field. That and his lack of pocket awareness were the big questions on him. He obviously hasn't had the chance to improve these things much with the Bears. Other than your usual meatball homerism, what evidence...

SB and the No.1 pick both possible.

I wouldn't say Fields is not a real QB. He's just an incomplete one at this point and needs to learn how to stay in the pocket and extend plays with his eyes as well as his legs. But better protection will help with that.

SB and the No.1 pick both possible.

The roster isn't good enough to win with Fields being decent. He would have to be great. And I don't see anything about him as a passer that's in the same universe as great. It's going to take 2-3 years of excellent talent acquisition to get them in a realistic place to compete for a Superbowl.

“Bears have only one pick in the top 50!”

Teams on average have either 1 or 2 top 50 picks every year. It's not possible to build a top roster that's all, or even mostly made up of your own top 50 draft picks. Quality rosters have plenty of later 2nd/3rd/4th/late round picks on them. Option 1: picks 9 + 53 + 61 + 64 + #1WR + #2WR...

FMIA: Thoughts on Poles in FA

Probably the NFL for me, mainly because there's so much turnaround, and the biggest splashes can be anywhere, not just the same few teams with the most money.

    Bears Team Philosophy

Pretty much every article I've seen about the trade has said it was a haul for the Bears. The offseason has been fairly consistently complimented so far. Someone would need to have an agenda to argue to the contrary at this point.

    You sure about that?

    State of the Bears today

Exactly this. I don't know why so many don't understand this.

    Anybody Else Worried? @Myk is!!!!

It's not what's at the end of your wrists it's what's between your legs, and the Sex Cannon is the only Chicago Bears QB to wear that hat since the end of the Cold War!

    Would you make this trade

I'm all for investing heavily on the OL and DL in the draft and a few sensible FA pickups, but don't trade the farm for huge contracts. Keep the powder dry for being able to invest sensibly over the coming few years as you build the roster through the draft. And I know a lot of people don't...

    Would you make this trade

Why all this trade talk for expensive players we'll have to pay a fortune to before we're even competitive? I understand the eagerness to win, but this is a process that needs to be done through the draft if you want a roster built for sustained competitiveness. Patience.

Bears sign DL DeMarcus Walker from Titans

I look at it like this - the last time the Bears had a roster capable of being competitive for a sustained amount of time was the Lovie years. The core players on that team were drafted and signed over several years starting with Urlacher in 2000. It doesn't happen overnight. I'm sure Poles is...

Bears sign DL DeMarcus Walker from Titans

You don't rebuild the worst roster in the NFL in one off-season. If you're expecting every position group to be fixed immediately you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Bears sign DL DeMarcus Walker from Titans

Did people expect all pros with every FA signing? Poles is here to build a sustained contender not blow their load on a win now FA haul. This isn't the Rams of two years ago. You need to fill holes with competent bodies while you build a roster through the draft. I would be very surprised if...

Now is time to build SOLID O/D Lines..

Yeah. The secondary is where all the young talent is on defense. They were criminally exposed due to a complete lack of pass rush. They'll look so much better when they don't have to cover for 5 seconds before the ball comes out. Could use another corner but the defensive priorities should be...
