    GAYPRIL 25TH - INAUGURATION DAY

Hey really needs attention for himself and his many alts. He sucks off the moderators weekly to not get banned.

THIRTY SIX HOURS OUT - DRAFT HEAT CHECK THREAD

Williams and Verse/Turner. If Poles has his pick of the top pass rusher in this draft I don't think he lets that go.

Draft thoughts from The Athletic’s Robert Mays

JJ over MHJ a #4 may end up being a laughable draft moment for a long time.

    Joel Klatt's final mock draft

I like Alt's floor and his NFL lineage. He is going to continue to work at his craft and keep himself in shape. Great character. I think he is a very solid pick if the draft falls WR heavy. I agree the ceiling isn't as high as we would like but the positional value is there.

    Joel Klatt's final mock draft

JJ going early would be awesome for us. It means we either get Odunze or our pick of the best pass rusher or tackle in the draft... at 9. As much as I like Odunze.. getting to select the best overall pass rusher or offensive tackle would be a home run scenario IMO.

Bowers is the Ideal Tight End

You don't pass up premier positional value in the top 10 (DE, WR, OT, CB) for a TE. You absolutely have to know he is Kittle or Kelce 2.0 if you grab him at 9

Ryan leaf: caleb should sit a year

Mahomes basically sat a year although that was behind a capable Alex Smith. I would rather CW sat just for caution but that may not be practical this season.

Will you be disappointed if the Bears trade back with a great prospect on the board?

Would you rather have Jalen Carter or Darnell Wright?

    Bears seriously interested Brock Bowers

I don't think Bowers goes in the top 10. Earliest mocks I have seen recently have him at 15.

JJ McCarthy worthy of a top 5 pick?

Agreed. But Richardson's combine was elite. I can see a GM taking a chance on an elite athlete like AR with high upside. JJ seems like his ceiling is Cousins.

JJ McCarthy worthy of a top 5 pick?

Agreed in part. I think in a top QB you want a guy who can push the ball down the field and I didn't see that from JJ.

JJ McCarthy worthy of a top 5 pick?

I just don't see it. Certainly a guy who could develop and become very good but he feels like a late first round prospect to me. I didn't see great vision or accuracy in college and more of a game manager. He has some mobility and toughness for sure. He is a good decision maker and protects the...

Marc Ross: Bowers not a special player

Yeah its hard to make a guy that is 6'3" 240 look small but Gronk is an absolute beast.

If Bryce Young had been great as thought, this is what Bears fans would have demanded

Trading up from 9 isn't a horrible idea and I agree most haven't considered it including myself.I think the price tag for MHJ at 4 is going to be huge. If you absolutely love Nabors and he is there at 6 or 7 is possible you can use next years 2nd and 3rd maybe. Not a horrible idea if it falls...

If Bryce Young had been great as thought, this is what Bears fans would have demanded

It didn't matter how much help we got for Fields or Trubisky there were both bums. There is plenty of offensive help already on this team for any QB to perform with 2 1000+ yard receivers. Plenty.

Marc Ross: Bowers not a special player

Exactly. OJ Howard, Hockensen as well. Its just very hard to have a huge impact at the TE position and you can find serviceable players at that position in the 2nd and 3rd round. Most mocks are trending to have him selected in the middle first now.

Marc Ross: Bowers not a special player

I don't think Bowers is explosive enough to justify a top 10 selection. There are what, 2 TEs in the league that you could justify as top 10 selections (Kelce/Kittle)? He would have to be an absolute elite athlete to take him top 10 (and even historically those picks haven't done well).
  19. mattb78

Would you be cool with Brock Bowers at #9?

Historically TE's in the top 10 haven't done well. Scouting checks all the boxes for Bowers but I don't like the positional value. He won't last the long but I like him in the 15-20 range.

How does trading back help the Bears in a shallow draft?

That 4th we got last year from the Eagles got us Keenan Allen.. right?
