  1. *OFFICAIL* Press Conference Thread 1/31

Coach/QB relationship is a topic of concern whenever the QB is “inherited”. Maybe I’m just hypersensitive to it because of how the Nagy/Trubisky thing went down.
  2. *OFFICAIL* Press Conference Thread 1/31

Pretty uninspiring so far. the way they danced around any question about Fields gives the impression that they either have no plan, or they want nothing to do with this arranged marriage.
  3. I will never understand why after probably only viewing ONE GAME from the Bills in the playoffs that now Daboll is supposed to be the bears new HC?

I’m sure it helps. But the Bills’ defense was ranked 16th last year, and they were still 2nd in offense
  4. REPORT: Aaron Rodgers to BOYCOTT the Superbowl!

Sounds fake. They’ll use this to get their show trending over the weekend, AR will refute it next week, and there will be no consequences for peddling fake rumors.
  5. ***OFFICIAL*** IGT: Bears @ Steelers (Bad Branes Bombardment Edition)

Really enjoying this Najee Harris documentary
  6. Stephen Gilmore released. Go get him!!

This is the kind of move you make if you’re in “win now” mode. Not the kind of move you make when you desperately need resources to fix an OL and build around a rookie QB
  7. trubisky checked that route on the long ball to Robinson

Because NFL defenses are a bit more complex than your flag football league
  8. Predict Trubiski's Floor

Why do we need to "predict" his floor? We're seeing it right now. Floor = 2018 Trubisky. He might get better, but he won't get worse.
  9. Trubisky is just an athletic Ryan Fitzpatrick

Yes I've on the fence with Trubisky (at best cautiously optimistic), but find myself arguing his case more often than not because the level of over-the-top hate he seems to get from around the league.
  10. Visiting Viking boards

Funny they keep bringing up strength of schedule Vikings wins came against the Cards, Jets, Lions, 9ers and Eagles who have a combined record of 14 and 33 (42%). They outscored these opponents by +55 Bears wins came against the Cards, Jets, Lions, Bucs, Bills, and Seahawks with a combined...
  11. Parkey's Stats this year - What counts

might be a bit dated, but found this: http://www.decisionsciencenews.com/2013/02/13/stadium-home-team-effects-in-making-field-goals/
  12. Howards Importance

The running game struggle is a huge surprise to me. I really thought things would take off this year since a legit passing attack should limit the number of 8-man fronts they face. Nagy keeps talking about figuring things out in terms of playcalling/scheme - maybe this is as simple as looking...
  13. Trubisky to the Pro Bowl?

17TD to 1int = ass year? Maybe the Packers are having an ass year, but Rodgers is still doing his thing. I suppose you could say he has been outshined by some other QBs this year, but he'll still make the probowl.
  14. Parkey's Stats this year - What counts

    Mason Crosby’s career fg% is 80.2 Parkey’s is 84
  15. MMQB - Peter King - Trubisky is Developing Fast

Albert Breer, not Peter King. I don't think King does MMQB anymore
  16. Bears are No 1 in the NFL with 82 points off takeaways!

per footballoutsiders, both NO and KC have a better average starting field position (ranked 1st and 4th respectively) compared to the Bears (ranked 6th). The Bears are 11th best in yards/drive as well, so regardless of field position, they are moving the ball well.
  17. Mitch first year 2018 Arron Rodgers first year stats 2008 Very Comparable

I like the year Trubisky is having so far, but if you're going to do this type of comparison, remember to adjust for inflation. In 2008, there were only 6 QBs that threw for over 4,000 yards. This year, there are 19 QBs on pace for over 4,000. Maybe stats don't lie, but they can mislead.
  18. Mitch might not work out

because nobody ever improves in year 2 of a new offense?
  19. Why no kicking coaches in the NFL?

hey, if a kicking coach can improve our chances of making field goals by even 1%, why the hell not? It could benefit kickers in the same way a caddie might benefit a pro golfer.
  20. Nagy in over his head AT THIS POINT

I think Nagy's biggest error in judgement yesterday was going with the visor instead of a hat in that intense Miami sun.
